We've reached Gobustan Gobustan is a World Heritage Site This place is an Open Air Museum They've also made an interactive indoor museum as well We're first here at Gobustan The main thing about this place is that they found Stone Age items here and they've made this whole place a World Heritage Site There's this stone that makes metallic sounds on hitting and there are a lot of other things Details about everything are written on these plaques We're going to enter from here & Jamil will guide us Jamil, should we start? Yeah, let's get started It sounds like I'm hitting Tin even though it's metal This stone is only found in Gobustan Dancing People It's a collective dance dating back to the mesolithic age Mesolithic Age is also called the Middle Stone Age period They've printed the drawings made on the stone Jamil told us that the people that used to live here were scientifically advanced & ahead of their time They've found drawings of cows as well as carvings of their instruments There are over 6000 stone prints in this entire area and drawings like these are all over the place which includes cows, snakes, instruments & different patterns These are entire stories on these stones There are lots of cats here A Black Cat These cats are really fat because this place is cold This place is very cold, that's why these cats are fat Look at their fur This is a cave from the Stone Age People in the stone age used to live here This used to be an entrance and we've come inside through that This entire place is a cave where people used to live and there are carvings & pictures here This is the place where they used to light up fires They found traces of fire here They used to light up fires to cook food or to keep this place warm They stopped further excavation because it was a little dangerous but this entire place feels like you're inside a house People from Stone Age used to live here It's an experience that I had only seen in movies before and now I'm seeing it with my own eyes It's a place where actual people from the stone age used to live It's been continuously drizzling which has made the weather even more colder We're now moving ahead We'll have some lunch & then move forward This place where I'm right now, people mostly make religious visits here and the reason is this place is the tomb of Bibi Hakima, which is also a mosque She was the sister of the 8th Shia Imam, Imam Raza and when she came here, a person named "Heybat" kept her here When people asked who is she, he used to tell them that she was his relative That's why this entire place is called Bibi Heybat The mosque behind me is Bibi Heybat Mosque We're going to pray Zuhr here and it's a beautiful view from here Right ahead is the port You can see the city as well as the Caspian Sea So it's a beautiful location And the mountain behind me... the Zoroastrians of old times used to dispose of the bodies of their dead up there That was done up there So two religions also meet each other here and it's an important place in Baku When Bibi Hakima came here, she prayed where right where that dome is so people who come here for visits also go there They've preserved the place where she prayed and there's a huge mosque right here We're now at Mangal Steakhouse We'll have a masterclass here & have some steaks This is the luxury food of Baku This is one of the most luxurious & fanciest restaurants The vintage decorations, ambiance & the chandeliers here and the vibe here, this is something very very amazing and I hope the food will be great too This is the chef of this restaurant He's very well-known The chef is giving the Shah Pulao Masterclass This is an amazing pulao which is a specialty of Mangal Steakhouse They've brought different ingredients all for the Pulao Meat, Apricots, Nuts, Raisins all different ingredients & a few items here as well Basically, before adding rice they dip Chapatis in butter & cover the entire pot with it Then they add rice, apricots, plums & layers of Saffron and then they add lamb meat They add layers of that & saffron and put it in the oven for 1.5 hours to cook They start preparing for all this a day earlier and it's an amazing process We're starting off with the appetizers There's so much in appetizers that this alone will make us full so we won't have a lot of this It's an entire platter of fruits & cheese It has 8 - 9 different kinds of cheese It has honey as well It's a completely different level They look like slices of melon but it's cheese It's cheese? I actually thought it was a slice of melon This is cheese in this small bundle There's cheese inside and I think you can eat this too This is cheese, we can eat it? Yeah This is like a cheese wonton I think we should have it like this
