uh drink? I had the breakfast, and I had the  cake and the milk very good good good sleep thank you so much I'm just packing up getting  all my stuff and I'll be out of your hair soon cool? last night?it was ok, i had the fan yeah I have some I have it it's okay no look look it's okay it's okay I have uh I don't need all those bottled waters I appreciate it but I have it's okay water no no no no no it's okay it's  okay I already took a couple no no it's okay it's okay I have it's okay  it's okay it's okay it's okay it's okay all right so before we get on the road  we're going to come and have a look at this big beautiful Catholic Church that is located in this nice little town so yesterday when I was getting shown the uh the little city hall where I was where I called home the daughter, the girl was telling me that I should, hello, that I should come and check this out before I leave and so uh it opened at 9:30 and I got here like 8:45 so I had some time to just sit over there in a gazebo and I looked it up and I was just looking up some data on Christianity and Catholicism here in Korea and it is very surprising did you know? that the world's largest megachurch is located in Seoul that kind of blows my mind like as many mega-churches that you find in the  states the largest one is here in Korea and so they said according to Wikipedia, they have a weekly Congregation of 480,000 people little shop over here looks like  you can get your crosses for your home okay it's really cool, almost touched Jesus's face, sorry, and I haven't really mentioned it yet  I don't think in any of the videos but you do notice a lot of crosses and a lot of churches here in South Korea you know you see the red neon light Church cross in a lot of places and so I didn't realize there were that many Christians here in South Korea I was reading apparently it just really took hold here um in Korea as opposed to like you know China or Japan that is a big cross but correct me if I'm wrong uh Christianity was introduced through China and so Koreans went into China and they met the missionaries and they met uh the Jesuits I guess  is what they're called and then brought their teachings back to Korea and that's kind of where  the uh the Christianity movement started I'm sure somebody from Korea can uh elaborate a little bit more on that you know maybe this was one of the guys that traveled to China and back brought back the teachings on the little scroll and spread the gospel beautiful park though I'd have  to say it's a nice place lovely I mean just like the town just like the the uh Little Village I stayed in of just 2300 people like what a nice place wonderful people uh just couldn't have picked a better place and so I was reading about this town uh this was a place where a lot  of pilgrims and uh Christians seeked refuge in I guess and so where I'm at is kind of centrally  located in South Korea it's surrounded by all these mountains and all these valleys right here and so a lot of Christians during that time when they were being persecuted they would come here and then they they would settle here in this community and uh I read in some of  the persecutions and they a lot of people died here you know for their beliefs and so this place has a lot of historical significance when it comes to the uh Catholic religion I believe and I was reading about these five guys right here they were martyred, is that the right way to use the verb, uh they were killed in uh in Seoul there's a shrine in uh in Seoul where uh these five guys I think I don't think they're all Korean maybe the two on the outside are Korean three dudes in the middle they're uh I think they're from France but they were killed I believe in the 1800s 1866  I think was the year hey right there 1866 and so uh but they weren't killed here they were killed in Seoul at a shrine there and hey there's the pope this says this is Arc Bishop Paul No-Ginan it says he became the first Archbishop of the Korean Catholic Church in 1942 a long time ago allrighty then okay let's get on out of here let's hit the road luckily I had a nice uh nice rest  in the uh in the little city hall and uh feeling good let's uh say goodbye to Jesus and get on our way on the road again all right so far feeling good I can tell  it's going to be a really really hot day today it's already heating up and the sun  is shining down on me um let this tractor pass got the uh the hardest part of the the  uh the cycle today right here and uh it's not going to be near as bad as it was yesterday but going up doing a little bit of a climb right now and then the rest of the way to Seoul should be fairly easy I think and so uh I kind of want to do a cycle there are some cycling roads that kind of go up close to the DMZ I think that'd be pretty cool so should have plenty of time and Seoul before I leave to cycle do some trips around there maybe is kind of what I'm thinking but let's get on the way looks like even Korea has its own abandoned hotels I've seen a few of them on the way but they're all uh locked up pretty good and  uh unlike the ones in Japan where they have just broken windows and doors open you can kind of just freely walk in and out of them these are still kind of uh in decent  condition and they're locked up pretty good so if you are a fan of abandoned buildings  and crazy things like that then you should check out my Exploring Abandoned Buildings playlist  here on YouTube I used to do that all the time in Japan because Japan is full of crazy  bizarre abandoned building type stuff all over and so even in Korea you get some spooky looking ones like this just for a reference if you're interested on where I am right now I made  it to the top downhill from here time for another break the strawberry bread that that  nice Taxi Driver left me last night with thank you so good nice little farming homes right here I'd say nice landscape beautiful background you got the little Canal river right here your garden is literally right in front of  your home a lot of plants beautiful out here so last night at dinner when I asked  that daughter and mother couple if they had a hot spring in their little town they  said no but they told me about 10K up the road there there's a little hot spring  tourist town and uh this is where where I just arrived chicken and Hof, Hof, what  is Hof I've seen that coffee and Hof chicken and Hof need to figure out what Hof is but I bet at night this is a beautiful little place when all these lights are turned on again a very tasteful and pleasant small town not too bad not too bad I've noticed in a lot of the rivers here in Korea there there's a lot of algae like I took a dip the other day when I got out there was some like stuff on my arm some mud and algae in a lot of these Rivers the water is super clean and clear though I like to see that and you don't really see any much trash or rubbish anywhere hey some fountains and so I did talk to a couple guys that came and sat down next to me asked them how much it would be just to take a bath like at a at a hotel at a hot spring here they looked it up and they found one and it was 12,000 Korean won, which is I looked it up that was as much as the uh the shaved ice that's about $8.65 for a bath and so and they also said if you stayed at the  hotel it's still going to cost you 7,000 to use the bath so I guess even if you're staying in  one of the hotels you still have to pay extra money for it? I don't know if that's how they all  work but that's how the one they showed me worked but let's get on the road let's get on out of here nice little stop in a another lovely small town it's pretty cool I mean these small  towns are just full of things to look at hello wow a lot of faces wow carving? yeah you? I wish I spoke some Korean those are pretty cool all different characters and faces big teeth big teeth huh? big smiles big smile big teeth yeah they all  look so happy and jolly don't they ah ok what is in here? food? can i see? oh oh sorry oh, corn. corn okay alrighty, didn't expect that thank you and it looks like i have a nice slow gradual decline the rest of the way and it's a beautiful day today, i love it i'll keep saying it, it's beautiful out here beautiful day, nice day to ride feels good man, feels really good much more enjoyable when the wind is not beating you up and hey there's another church you see a lot of these churches a lot of them with this little cone-shape thing on the top of the building with the cross on top good description there Nick a little bridge? like a okay it's nice? nice okay well that's cool have a nice little campsite down there along the riverbank and a cool little waterfall right here wow okay that would be a nice place to  chill out for the day and swim and maybe even camp out for the night what a beautiful spot up here I'm glad I stopped that was nice I did not expect this waterfall  on this side over here check that out what a beautiful day today I am so  happy I wonder oh wow it kind of keeps going all the way up there not that happy let's get back on the bike these little mobile homes are pretty cool I like them all right I think it's time to take a dip I don't need to pay 12,000 Won to take a bath when I have Mother Nature to rinse me off although I have a feeling they're going to tell me I can't swim down here for some reason I got to be careful like I mentioned earlier there's a lot of algae in these uh rivers which makes the rock extremely slippery it's pretty damn nice out here  here not going to lie it is pretty damn beautiful yep there's a lot of like muddy algae stuff floating around a lot of small guys swimming too a lot of fishes, I think these are the kind that like eat all the dead skin off your body too I can feel them poking at me eat away eat away I get the feeling that people are doing all right out here look at those places kind of boring looking but still I love the fact that they just have big windows for entire walls this looks like a pretty fun place the uh What's this called coma camp camping Cafe traditional Korean thing okay sweet? a little bit sweet little sweet it's made with rice okay same thing but  just different i think this is seaweed and pumpkin seed ok i'll try that our place is actually a bbq place oh, you serve bbq? oh bbq sounds nice outside also, you can have bbq a lot of seating i guess on the weekends it's busy? yeah actually but but not this weekend, because rainy days on Saturday and sunday ah, it's coming, huh? not good. not good haha alright thank you yeah, so the rain is coming, so I need to hurry up and get to Seoul, it's Wednesday and uh supposed to rain all next week too, shucks let's try this little uh traditional Korean snack here made from rice so   I'm guessing it's kind of like a sembei in Japan little rice cracker yup, sugary sweet kind of chewy cuz all that sugar not bad not bad just kind of makes it thirsty I think my bike looking good over there not a bad little place they've got plenty of seating in there that's for sure they're uh selling bingsu for 12,500 why is that so expensive? I'll shut up about it. no more mentioning about how expensive bingsu is from here on out I  promise but uh the lady in there was saying how it's more of like a a glamping spot it's probably pretty obvious I guess but uh she was saying it's around uh 100,000 won a night for two people to stay there so I'm sure they're pretty busy on the weekends I mean you're kind of tucked away back here in beautiful nature so looks kind of looks kind of fun I'm sure it is when there's a lot of people out there and you want to experience some sort of like outdoor camping stuff but still you know have the comfort of uh you know  good food right there and music and I'm sure there's drinks and I'm sure it can get pretty lively there much different than where I'm camping all right if it's going to be like this  from here on out I am more than happy this is nice I guess that would be the city of Daerim-ro not going there though okay check this out these fighter jets are really low right now what is going on are they  going in for landing it's pretty cool more fun bridges to look at a nice view over hello nice view over a beautiful beautiful river here such a beautiful Lake right here I guess it looks like a lake but I guess it's a river and you have the bridges over there it's hard to tell from here but there are some really really nice homes just right on the bank of the river and uh I wonder if they uh I wonder if they get annoyed by the noise of the fighter jets or maybe they're just used to it by now but or maybe they like you know watching them fly in but they are pretty cool to see oh nice someone out there doing some wakeboarding pick me up I mean this would be a perfect lake, river, to ski, wakeboard, you know do any kind of water sport activity out here because it is like glass out here there are no waves nothing just a long stretch right through  the river right here I wonder if this is a dock I mean it has to be I mean it feels like you're right on the water hello, how are you? nice day. a  beautiful day a video? for YouTube? oh  nice what kind of YouTube channel? are you uh are you University students?  college students? okay and you're making a video? okay can I see? oh I want to watch I want  to watch okay okay let's see let's go let's go you're smart you're in the shade it's very hot you're standing in the shade making like a a music video? a music video?  okay what is uh the Youtube video channel? oh no Channel? practice just practice okay cut. perfect
