time for a little breaky got me another heavy kimbap think I'm going to eat lots of these while I'm here all right and we are on the road again and uh off to an early start too it's only 7:30 I got me some food for the road and  today is going to be I think one of the more challenging days. we got to go up a hill. we got to go up a mountain up and over it's uh says it's 530 M High something like that so that'll be fun just can't wait to get on the road again right now feels amazing the wind is nice and cool the sun is shining it's still before 8:00 though and I have a feeling it's going  to be a very hot day today but I'm going to enjoy it for now until I start sweating we got a fisherman up here let's see if he's caught any fish good morning good no fish yeah oh man you know what kind of fish? bass okay good luck and now I'm starting to understand why  a lot of people on on videos on YouTube that I watched who bike toured in uh in Korea were saying you know if you can go from Seoul to Busan because the wind blows from the north to south and from west to east and so I'm getting it yeah I didn't have a choice because I came  over from Japan and took the ferry from Shimonoseki to Busan but I understand why now that wind is  pretty strong and uh it's getting me it's getting me Nakdong River it's beautiful beautiful  River i' say nice and wide super full all the time a lot of dams here and there a nice little views pretty low lying mountains nothing too crazy but I'm going to have to go over one today I think somewhere off in that direction 17% are you kidding me that is steeper than the 15% we had in Gunma in Japan look at that okay it's time to push good morning is this a cafe? or a shop? so I do YouTube is it okay to share? I do YouTuber yeah yeah is it okay to share okay so this is your father's camping car? yes okay let me make sure I'm filming and uh he just travels all over  Korea? yes okay and he's obviously a musician yes, pro, oh are you the musician? I'm musician and he teaches me so he's taught you from a when you were a child? wow it's a huge camping car really big I'm sure yeah it just doesn't look cheap  for sure and so what do you do uh what is this you do canoe rides too or is that just a picture kayak or a kayak yes nice he also a YouTuber too oh really Let's uh let's share we'll share for sure what is his name fim Fant Kim this is him kayaking and then music, cool he playef for four years in many countries i also play saxophone and other horns for 15 years can i take a look inside? i'd like to see his setup wow you have many instruments wow so many you play all different kinds of things huh oh oh you got your TV set up your computer yes you like fishing wow this is quite the setup right here and you travel with him? uh no I I'm I'm living in Seoul I come to here to meet my father okay so how long does he stay in one spot? short short time uh three or four days long term is uh one one month oh really how long has he been here? oh uh we will leave today today okay today nice wow plenty of space he said this Ramen brand is first  Korean Ramen the first Korean Ramen all right first Korean Ramen brand okay so 1961 okay so it's a classic yes classic I think foreigners doesn't like doesn't like kimchi I love it I love it I love kimchi it's good man those are some thick noodles nice thank you so much oh thank good to see you good to see you nice to meet  you guys good luck all right this is pretty cool it looks like this dam this overpass is strictly just for   bicyclists no cars allowed and there's a group  of cyclists coming this way doesn't look like you can go up in those though even though those  look pretty cool too look like flap Jacks hey hey hey hey hey just a another beautiful part  of the river too like you you cross over one Bridge you go down a little bit you cross back  over and you just you keep doing that not too bad that's pretty nice that looks  like an actual campsite down there all right so this is where the bike  course splits up you can take this one all the way down to a city that starts with an A and then come right back but I'm not going to do that I'm just going to keep going on to Seoul those are pretty cool well right here in front of me is the bicycle Museum I think it's worth a stop let's uh let's go check it out donated by the uh sister city in Davis California yeah okay so I am from here Texas  Texas right there oh yeah Texas baseball player Korean baseball player? I'll wander around see what there is thank you looks like a really really nice museum it would take a long time to get through it because everything is in Korean and i' have have to bust out the translator and do every single picture so I'm just going to walk through  and check some things..just burped there... I'm going to walk through and check some things out place is huge it's well done I think my favorite part was probably uh the evolution of  the bicycle that was pretty cool to see from you know the very beginning when there weren't even any pedals you know it's just something you sit on and just go but uh so yeah the evolution of the bicycle was was cool and uh just seeing all the different styles pretty cool but all right let's get on the road man this section in here has been  killer pushing the whole way up am I rewarded with a nice view? I'd say so that ain't bad so steep I got to walk my bike down I'm afraid I don't want to ride the brakes all the way all right been on the bike for a while now I've gone 44k and I was kind of wondering if I'm going to be seeing any civilization soon and there it is way over there I see lots of buildings and uh people so okay let's go get a bite to eat get get a drink maybe find some ice cream that sounds good some uh some bingsu sounds delicious right now although today isn't as hot as it was  yesterday the wind is just killer right now and look what it is a little bit down the road I found it the red bean bingsu   but one order is 12,000 won that  is $8.65 for shaved ice that is ridiculous is it not I can't justify paying $8.65 for  shaved ice yeah you get red beans and mochi and whatnot but still all righty welcome to... I don't know if I'm saying that right

probably not wow look at that mural  that's nice that's pretty cool it's going to cruise through the city see if there's anything here see if there's anything to eat maybe some ice cream some Bingsu don't want to pay 12,000 for it but this looks like a a nice local street I'm sure it's nice at night with  all the uh the lights lit up look at them hot dogs up there wow this ain't too bad a lovely little city never mind I'm in, all right for lunch I've decided to go with  the Mom's Touch chicken sandwich so Mom's Touch, it's a uh fried chicken burger chain here in South Korea and I had one in Daegu, and it was pretty damn good I didn't film it then but I thought might  as well film it this time and show you guys what it looks like I really like their fries they're uh they're regular french fries but they're they're made in the uh kind of like the curly fry style so super crunchy kind of peppery but they taste like curly fries back home but they're chicken burgers are prettyy freaking impressive they're pretty good first one I had was amazing this thing looks freaking massive wow oh my gosh okay look at that thing lettuce maybe a little too big for  it I mean come on now a lot of mayonnaise this is just like a whole head of lettuce right here break that up a little bit get it on me all right and come on now come on Mom's Touch, the chicken patty is not even on the bun all the way centered is it supposed to be that  way surely not let me recenter it for you I spoke so nicely of you at first Mom's  Touch and now you're kind of you're kind of ruining it here come on let me put the burger  together properly how you're supposed to do it that's more like it I have  some extra lettuce here on the side this one said it was the best  it's the original that's what I went with you got to get it all over your face I mean the thing that makes this place special is just their Fried Chicken is pretty pretty  top-notch pretty high quality I mean it's good breaded fried chicken  right here nice and crunchy juicy nice and tender fries, Pretty good overall two out of 10 I'm joking all right time to get back on the road ah it's always kind of hard after a big lunch like that had some ice cream too and after you've been sitting for a while to get back on and get get back in the flow but I got to go I've got 34 kilometers to the top of the summit of the mountain 530k up 530 meters up and uh let's get there let's get  there but another nice little town I'd have to say I can either just uh walk my bike  across here this uh Bridge that's kind of falling apart here that they have blocked off or I can go back about a kilometer or so and cross I don't want to do that let's just cross right here boom easy peasy this is pretty unique haven't seen a village like this yet all the walls are uh painted I guess kind  of depicting what life was like back in the day it's kind of cool oo there's some rough living back here though it's pretty nice actually is this the uh the information the tour center right here maybe I can't read a lick of Korean so I don't know but this is some real real "kampung life" back here some real village living not as nice as uh those big apartment   complexes for sure this is  this is rural life right here beautiful all right so the climb is about to start I'm kind of telling myself ahh let's just call it a day right now it's already 4 almost 420 just chill out but then I'm also thinking ah it's only 8K that wind is strong it's only 8 and half kilometers to go to the top I can do it those are pretty cute okay yeah this looks maybe  looks harder than it really is or that's what I'm going to keep telling myself just met a nice guy from Germany a little ways down the road talked with him a little bit he's doing the  exact opposite route he's going from Seoul to Busan going to Shimonoseki and then to Tokyo and I was kind of giving him some tips on what to do and not and he was like yeah coming this way  ain't so bad man it feels like I'm going really fast I'm like yeah it's cuz you got that back  wind pushing you the whole way this way is tough man it's tough all right 8.5 kilometers to go let's  do it like even right now I'm I have a little bit of a downhill and the wind is so strong that I'm.. it's just pushing me up like it's slowing me down even though I'm going downhill this is terrible all right stop your complaining and just pedal let's go it's a pretty epic gate right here  signaling this is the beginning of the climb maybe I could use some fruit some energy before I hit the hill it's a big heavy Apple too man that's good see those flags up there I'm not joking about it is for Real look at that oh [ __ ]  A so windy it wow what timing really oh my my bike  is heavy too I blew that [ __ ] over let's go feel the burn I can feel it woo let's do this woo I'm sure we better well I'm sure  we better get a nice view up there almost there this mountain really gave it to me I'm exhausted my legs are done my legs are done I can't wait to hit the downhill man there's a big beautiful white wall over there all right I'm I made it I freaking made it woohoo man that kicked my ass I wonder what that was all  about they had their hands up had to be something religious what I'm guessing full of energy that's a pretty nice view and I'm sure I'll be down there in less than 5 minutes takes forever to get up here  and not that long to get down not a bad little rest stop for for  being up here all alone got some snacks got some drinks uh I got me a little uh I guess this would be like a Korean Snickers maybe they did have some food but there's nobody in there and just just that dude figured I could go down to the bottom and find a city and find some hot food down there but one thing I haven't been doing this whole time is getting the stamps and so you see these red phone booths everywhere and I'm sure at the starting line I could have gotten like a book or something and what you can do is you can go around and collect the stamps and uh I don't know have a little memorabilia stamp book when you're done I guess but oh well perfect timing and this one is.. this guy is stamping his book maybe he'll let us have a look at it can I see your book? oh yes yeah nice how many uh stamps do you have? many a lot let's see here okay where is this, Inchon okay so by Seoul yes   okay okay and then you'll go to.. okay all right good luck thank you all right time for my reward a nice downhill what is the name?
