if not buckle up because I'm about to take you on a journey to a place you never knew you needed in your life forget the usual tourist trap we're diving straight into my 7-Day Adventure I'll be showing you where I stayed in the mind-blowing excursions I've done right now I arrived at the airport coming from New Deli it's 2: a.m. this airp for is open and active 24/7 I hired a private driver and as you can see he had a sign with my name and some flowers waiting for me I felt welcome this goes to show how nice the people are here the company I booked with was Das lanat Tor it's a family-owned business and I appreciated them waiting for me as it took a while to go through customs Americans need a visa prior to arrival coming to Sri Lanka once I got settled into the van I was headed to my first stop danula it's about a 3our drive from the airport the views were breathtaking as I'm heading to my first hotel here are things you should know make sure sure to obtain a SIM card while at the airport and if you didn't exchange your money prior to arriving make sure you do it at a bank and not a random ATM such as the one located at the airport I finally arrived to hotel number one welcome to DIA Bubala this place is not your average hotel it's a love letter to the wild side of Sri Lanka located in damla but my nature lovers and couples watching this diaa is a perfect getaway imagine waking up to one of the five cozy Villas surrounded by the jungle Whispers with curious monkeys and exotic birds as your neighbors The Villa I stayed in was bamboo groove it has a triangular transparent roof under a bamboo canopy where you can literally star gaze from the comfort of your bed welcome to my villa now hold on to your excitement because my private driver the real MVP brought me a birthday bash supplies and this is just a surprise the hotel absolute champ set it all up for me at no extra cost talk about the perfect gift now inside my villa we're talking a balcony with views for days you see this right here it's so peaceful and relaxing this this is like perfect if you meditate or do yoga now what's also equipped inside my villa is a inet shower AC to keep cool in a closet space that is very [Music] spacious diaba isn't just a place to stay it's an immersive experience waiting to capture your heart like I mentioned mention earlier this isn't just a boutique hotel it's an enchanting blend of Back To Nature Vibes and luxurious surroundings imagine strolling through lust jungles inspired by the Visionary artwork of Sri Lanka's reowned artist laki sinaki not sure if I pronounced his name right but he made this within 50 years transforming flat land into a Haven of forest Water Gardens and open air art galleries as you can see right here now that I gave you a tour around the hotel let's dive into the food the room rates include full board accommodation everything here is made from scratch and it's fresh the fruits were so sweet and throughout this video you will notice how many fruits I ate while here but breakfast I am served Western dishes as well as a Sri Lankan Specialties I ordered an omelette which was delicious and it came with other spices and Curry now I don't remember the name of everything listed here but I can tell you people here in Sri Lanka love them some Curry they will have it for breakfast lunch and dinner these white things are rice Hoppers how do you eat them properly I have no idea but I made it [Music] work oh my goodness I have monkeys in my room now I'm the king of the swingers the jungle VIP I'm scared to open the door stop and that's what's Bing I want to be a man man monkeys in my room right into town all right these monkeys are wild smart banging on my oh my goodness they're knocking on the door okay I'm [Music] going can learn to be human [Music] too [Music] I booked a village tour and it is a must if you're here in Sri Lanka skipping a village tour is like leaving a passport at home a travel crime this tour was only 10 USD and during the tour you will ride on an ox I believe that is the name of the animal and this part by the way is optional you'll also take a boat across the river where you get to experience how the locals catch fish and make these flower necklaces which later you in the video you'll see one around my neck you also get to watch how the locals make their lunch and eat with them the village tour is like an unfiltered Instagram story raw and real it unravels the real story flavor and traditions that make a destination come alive okay so I'm currently on the boat and right now we're going to learn how they fish and gather food and lunch for yeah the village The Village tour okay I made my way into one of the locals home where they live and right now we are cooking lunch he she is scraping the coconut and if I remember correctly this is how we are making coconut rice being here gives me a new appreciation on my life they're not equipped with the fancy Hightech kitchen appliances everything is cooked manually no oven microwave gas or electric stove food is cooked over the fire as you can see right here from the outside looking in many people will say this country is poor which technically it is but one thing I can say about the locals here they are happy and I mean truly happy I know not many Americans can say that next time come to where is our teacher coconut coconut teach my next job is coconut okay so this is rice yeah should pumpkin pumpkin okay pumpkin mang cry mango Curry that look like string beans but that's American oh radish radish okay radish snake go you know what that sake go yeah means the vegetable like like snake like snake listen if I'm being honest I am not a foodie and I was hesitant on either especially if I can't even pronounce the name but you're all right so I'm here trying to taste a little of everything you can tell my face how I was feeling what I just tasted had to be some type of fish and I hate fish so I had to put that down immediately and now we are moving on to dessert so you said cookies cookies cookies cookies chice FL teric powder little bit salt and coconut milk oh wow moving the skin off the rice so this is what sweet the name Honey Salt Okay no Okay for dessert I just stuck with eating the fruits so here your watching how they make the roof they're using some type of tree or a plant I'm not sure what it is but this is how they fix their roof to prevent rain or stuff coming into their home so later on that evening I went to go watch the sunset while hiking at pidurangala Rock and I'm so mad because I lost half my content from here so what you're seeing here is all that I have left but I did have my photographer and private driver hike with me so as you can see here me trying to climb this and my private photographer recording me which I cannot find that [Music] clip day two in Sri Lanka and I'm on my way to hotel number two which is located in candy odwell Hotel this hotel or Queens hotel is the best place to stay if you plan on watching the Festival of the tooth it is one of the most famous festivals in Sri Lanka y'all I booked the wrong date what the heck being that I actually booked the wrong date I was only able to get what was left and I was so surprised they actually still had a room left but as you can see right here this room wasn't its best what where's the view so now that I finally got settled into my hotel this is my outfit for today and for the remainder of the day I was just chilling and waiting for the Festival of tooth as you can see these people been waiting here since 8:00 a.m. and the show doesn't start till around 7:00 p.m. this Festival goes on for about 10 days it features elephants traditional dancers drummers flag bearers and fun fact all the performers are done by males so you will not see not one female perform here [Music] now this Festival is free so you don't have to pay for anything is first come first serve if you want a good view now there are some companies or people that would charge for you to get a chair or a good seating but it's really not worth it especially when they charge 100 USD that's just absurd so just get here as early as possible to get the best view now males from all ages before from ages three to even to the elderly are out here [Music] performing oh my goodness they love me over here they love me yeah oh they are chewing how are you H how are you I'm good how are you yeah good all right you guys I'm here with the kids and they're enjoying it yeah I was getting many stairs while here in Sri Lanka but then I found out it's not typical to see people of color visiting Sri Lanka so they were actually happy good stairs and that's why all the kids was oneing up to me cuz they was just happy to see someone of my skin complexion or I should say our skin complexion [Music] oh I could not believe my eyes seeing this because this is real fire not fake so seeing little kids play around with fire I was just my heart was pumping so fast but I guess they are Naturals at this as you can see right here but I was still scared for them okay so this is my first meal since breakfast and it's like almost 11:00 and I ordered lamb chops with vegetables and mashed potatoes lamb chops is 15 american5 and I got my photographer some food he ordered chicken here is my outfit of the day hey y'all meet my friend Puja as you can see she loves to play around Puja is the first elephant born in captivity in Sri Lanka and currently resides at Millennial elephant Foundation Millennium elephant Foundation is dedicated to improving the welfare of domesticated elephants it is the home of the Elephant Walk experience and volunteer program you will experience a 45-minute walk with the elephants like I did and you'll also have the options to feed them Pua did not play about her food and when I had no more to give she was pissed but eventually we made up due to the fact that our bond is strong as you can see you will also have the chance to bathe the elephants and Puja knew exactly where she wanted to be bathed as you can see she pointed to the area she wanted me to wash I love how this Foundation allows you to get a personal one-on-one experience with an elephant for more information about my experience with the elephants please watch my other video I made solely on that on my way to my next verion I made a stop at the frood markets that are out in the streets my driver wanted me to try some of the famous Sri Lankan fruits I am sure by the look on my face you can tell how I felt about [Music] them this is a banana yeah red banana oh wow most healthy banana in Sri Lanka okay I like that thing all right this is the most healthiest banana in Sri Lanka it's red and here's the market dragon fruits dragon fruits mango mango watermelon watermelons and you see the SI this the mangotin mango tea mangotin what like unique fruit in Sri Lanka but now it's out of the Season okay inside is very tasty and this is wood apple apple wood Apple what what I've seen that I seen that and I'm like what is a wood apple wood apple means uh this is outside have shell then inside you have to eat W but with sugar it's very tasty oh okay so as you can see this is the original size mango a mango oh it's not orange this is papaya I don't like papaya papaya Sri Lanka yeah okay as you can see my American this is the actual size of the food it's golden living my life like it's golden living my life like it's golden living here in Sri Lanka so don't feel overwhelmed about which one to go to cuz in my opinion I think they're all the [Music] same you New York United States why do you like to um yeah it's good for you so that's why I drink it okay so do you know about tea it's healthy so this is used for black tea yeah black te or green tea green tea uh same plant two process black tea we have to ferment and green tea we don't ferment okay here golden tips and silver tips to producing golden tips and silver tips we use only the tip this but only and without going any process these two be dry only by Sunrise okay okay and these two include more tanin do you know about tanning no coffee include cafeine okay incl tny it's me natural V wow so at this tea Factory I am learning the origin of tea where it comes from what's made of it how do you make it and then I also get to try different type of tea as well like it's golden living my life like it's golden living my life like it's golden living my life like this by the way is free so you don't have to pay anything to learn about this but if you do want to purchase the different types of tea at the end you're more than welcome to I know I have golden golden so so tired and I did not have time to record me coming here but I made it to can't pronounce the name but it's that long Tower and we're about to go up now it's 5:00 in the morning um I got to take a ch ch over there and yeah we'll see how it goes so it cost about 8 USD to enter and this is the first multi-religious Sanctuary that is 3,567 m above sea level and 48 M High you came into my life okay you realize just did a 5 minute drive up and now we have to walk some more it's very foggy is you see how high I got to go up all right okay to a spot that we never know to the top the halfway there but it is very cloudy so hopefully by the time I get to top CL baby we're walking on [Music] CL what they don't tell you on social media this is not for everybody this is so tiny like if you're a little bigger than me it's going to be near impossible cuz I can barely fit through here I have to squeeze and walk up sideways so yeah we are high up holy we still got ways to [Music] go we'll see the sun is not so far and we can't get much closer to God than where we are we will go to a place Only lovers go to a spot that we've never known to the top of the clowns we Flo in away oo this feels so crazy oh this love is blazing and baby we're so high walking on cloud night so high so high oh [Music] yeah okay I'm now at a restaurant to eat and at this restaurant I get the views of the waterfall and now here's part one of my breakfast for $10 you get a smoothie fruit eggs toast grill sausage and something else I'm figuring this but the fruits here are fresh I wonder what this is but I know I don't want papaya how this view is amazing here's my scrambled egg top of the toast and a grilled chicken [Music] sausage are scrap in the sky you got me up so high you got me up so high you got me up so high my shoes are scrap in the sky and now I'm about to go take the famous train in the rain I am heading [Music] here yeah this is how love supposed to be yeah this is how this is how loud supposed to be I have left candy and now I'm on my way to Bell Roya I'm not sure if I pronounced it to go visit hotel number three welcome to my room the suite the biggest room here something and TV crib so I spent 2 Days in this city but I created a separate YouTube video to go more in depth of this hotel that I stayed at and the excursions you can do here so make sure to check that out but right here is just a highle overview of me really deep into nature and loving it well kind of loving it cuz I'm a city girl so I freaked out when I seen a lot of the creatures that you can see right [Music] here made it y it is hot extremely hot so day 6 and 7 I stayed in yala but I created a separate YouTube video of just my experience here so make sure to check that out but here I'm just going to give you a high level overview of what I did and what I seen on a game Safari a Solo Traveler and I can't wait to for you guys to experience this with me I'm excited to see what animals are out there [Music] [Music] [Music] King [Music] [Music] King [Music] so after two nights in yala I am now heading to Colo which is City and I need City life cuz I've been in nature for too long but as I'm on my way there I made pit stops to different excursions so now I'm visiting Turtle Sanctuary hope this you said you hope do I stay in the water after you they come back to normally they when they lay next they come to this and then after they stay back in normally they normally lay 10 years after 15 years after has own life oh they were born yesterday wow this is the two days and this is the but they're so big for one day oh wow till we find our place all the P [Music] unwinding [Music] so I finally made it to hotel number five if you're a city girl or city boy like me this is your stay like I was told most Americans stay at this hotel and I can tell why I really felt like I was in the city again and the views were amazing and let's not talk about how affordable this hotel is like you can search it up yourself I paid like under $70 a night for this so this right here is like the entrance the lobby area and it's it's so homey and cozy and I love how you get to like open the doors to look at the views of the [Music] ocean is the [Music] same and it mes us toare and to SP all right you guys welcome to my room I got the cheapest room so it comes with a twin bed closet room here is the bathroom I love these toilets that stuff and everything this amazing and the best part is the tub you see this tub but actually I take that back this is the best part oh so beautiful so so beautiful good morning this is my last day in Sri Lanka and I decided to go get a spa and you know pamper myself so I might get my eyelashes done nails done and see how it goes I love this hotel cuz everything is nearby so I'm about to walk to the spa place it's like a 10-minute walk but I walk fast so it's like 7 minute walk and then I'm a Uber to this nail salon it's very highend like it has a lot of followers on social media and stuff so can't wait to try it out all right I made it to the [Music] spa okay you guys I'm about to get a facial so for a total of $80 I got a 2hour facial and a 1hour body massage I wasn't able to record the process as I guess there was some type of miscommunication and she thought I was trying to learn her methods when in reality I was a YouTuber but by the time we realized that it was too late but as you can see is the before and after my face is much shinier but unfortunately I still had that pimple like that was just not going away [Music] sadly all right you guys I just left the spa I'm in the til right now and I'm heading to go get my nails so the goal was to get my nails done but as you can see right here that's not the case I actually getting my eyebrows laminated and then I'm getting eyelash extensions when I saw the price I could not turn it down I think I paid a total $50 for both so yeah you could never find that in America so Yello [Music] right okay my eyebrows is done now we're going to [Music] eyelashes so this was my first time ever getting eyelash extensions and I'm obsessed now however when I saw the price back in New York I was like yeah never mind I'm good off this but if you're ever in Sri Lanka get this done my eyebrows and eyelashes is done good job thank you so much thank you my nails done she's Heavenly treat for
