Why I Never Want to Leave Cambodia

California yeah and I know the capital America is a Washington DC how's work today uh just stand by a little slow huh yeah but everything's getting better in s rate more people are coming well I think good morning guys and welcome back to sim Reap Cambodia so today we got a really exciting day planned we don't have nothing planned we're going to cruise around and enjoy our first day back in Sim reap and I'm going to show you guys a couple of my favorite spots we're going to go get some coffees have some good food and overall just enjoy my first day being back now right now it did stop raining it is drying up so it's perfect time to get on out of here now I rented this Tuk to for the next few days and I'm really excited because glattus and I got a lot of plans in this Tuk Tuk right came with a lady it came with a lady guys too bad she's not up for uh she's not coming with every Tuk Tuk but she came with this one all right so this here is our Tuk Tuk machine it's beautiful it's extremely modern we rented one in Sri Lanka a few months ago had an amazing time uh but this one here is very spacious we even got a nice little cooler um very modern clean are you excited yes of course cannot wait for you to ride the T to and curse around you're my first passenger but the ride's $20 okay okay $20 to the Old Market oh my God you're taxing I know expensive huh all right guys let's Jump On In and let's get this machine started so um I actually went with this vehicle because it is rainy season and I was like why not let me run a h to and that'll be the best way to get around so right now we're going to head to the downtown area I'm going to go grab a coffee then we actually got a meeting at a nail salon oo and then um yeah we'll go around have some food I'll show you guys the vibe so much has changed here in seam reap in the last few months and that's what I want to share with you guys in this video all right let's get on out of here make okay you no Saidi yeah almost like ooh yeah you hear that horsepower put this thing in Reverse emergency break off this is how you drive around and you feel like a local guys okay let's not hit the bench or the tree bye bye bye guys see you later and there we go we are off man I'm a natural all right we'll wait for the motorcycle to go through now I'm not going to lie I do like scooters a lot more but you're able to do a lot more in a Tik Tik man like I even got storage space in the back woohoo look at the the Water Guy hello dude they love they love seeing you in the Tuk Tuk too man the locals think it's so funny bro all right we got about a 5minute drive to the Oldtown oh shoot oh see that's good thing I good thing you got a trusty Tuk to driver oh sorry is the gear oh man dead rat on the road oh no thank God I didn't see that you didn't see it you don't want to see that no I don't want details no details huh yeah hey man it feels so good to be back in Cambodia I tell you what there's no better feeling than being back in a country that you love so much and to be honest with you guys man the first time we came out here we didn't think we were going to make it back I mean we're super blessed to be able to do this for a living hello good morning how are you guys um but to be honest man I got let's go into a little story time so my first time here in Cambodia was right after covid right um YouTube at the time was just a dream um I never thought I was actually going to make money doing this I never thought that I'd actually be able to travel the world doing YouTube videos it was really just for fun um but there was actually one video that changed my life here um it was with this donut lady she sells Cambodian Donuts her name is Sera and I gave her a $100 donation at the time because I really I really loved her personality I man she she the moment I started talking to her it reminded me a lot of my grandmother just a hardworking lady and at the time gladus is here um as proof at the time yeah I didn't even have $100 like we didn't know how we were going to pay for the next hotel like that's how crazy it was and I gave her $100 for um the donuts that she had in her cart and that video man undoubtedly changed my life like I got a lot of subscribers I made my had my first big month in money and man Everything's changed since then and now I've been blessed enough to come back here what this is my third time we're going to be back here so many more times and man I'm just so grateful for all you guys so if you're watching in your Cambodian please hit that subscribe and Anor watt is super beautiful but there's so much more to this country than that I mean this place has some of the most lovely people in the world so that's what I'm going to Showcase over the course of the next few videos but as I mentioned first things first coffee time yeah let's uh normalize coffee after coffee yeah we just had one this morning but it's time for another one man hey shout out to um ma over at uh the embassy where I'm staying he is such a great guy and he he greeted me so nicely this morning and I think it's super funny that everybody calls me Mr Chris I think it's the people here are just so polite man it's unreal but yeah shout out to Ma and um all of the team over at that hotel not sponsored at all I just genuinely love um the hospitality I received there all right looks like are passing by a school right now we're going to be hopefully paying a visit to a school this trip as well um there's a lot of things I have in mind if there's anything that you guys want to see any specific town that I should visit please let me know down in the comment section and I'm going to try my best to make it happen oh man this thing has some power to it boy I'm man I'm hitting 40 let see let me see yes you do got to be careful though here people there in Cambodia I'll tell you what that's why this is my kind of place man there are no rules on the street man you just go and hope you don't hit nobody but like you make it to an intersection and everybody just kind of looks at each other and it's like and then you just go it's crazy I don't know how it works but it works it works look at this thing I love seeing all the different types of Transportation here in Cambodia sometimes you're on those long roads and you see the tractors driving by the buff people on Buffalo look at the Batman Taxi ooh the Batman taxi that's the Batmobile baby all right let me see if we're neutral there we go let's not stall out on our first ride I'm pretty good Tuk TI driver right let me know what would you pay to be in the back $20 is right huh yeah because it's you oh it's because it's me hey and I'll tell you what though the great thing about being in Cambodia is that man every Tuk Tok Driver Taxi Driver speaks perfect English like you'll be able to find any tour you want any Excursion um and they'll be happy to sell it to you I'll tell you what all right guys see you when we make it to the town or should we just keep it rolling man yeah let's just keep it rolling so yeah as you're cruising around the streets here there's a lot of restaurants look bars everywhere right now we're actually about to cross over the bridge um I believe this river is called the seam rip River I just made that up I'm pretty sure it's the seam R River and this here is what connects the side of the city that we're on to the Oldtown look at how beautiful and at night it's very well lit up it's gorgeous out here and then right in front of me is the famous Old Market which we'll jump into later on of course and do another big Market spree in there but like I said man first things first you can't rush the process we're on our way to find the coffee but yeah look a lot of souvenirs man it's very active it makes me so happy to see that Cambodia has bounced back and that man it's just continuing to uh to grow again after yeah 3 years of almost no tourist man that was extremely hard on the economy not only here in Cambodia but all around the world and look right now we're passing by the cafe Amazon that's basically like the Starbucks they do have a brand new Starbucks here as well but don't go to Starbucks man you can go and support a local a local coffee shop the local coffee shop I love yeah let's up right let's go up there I think that's a great spot to have a nice coffee look this is the entrance to the night [Music] markets wow this is actually where we stayed our first time was right here this is where we met Serena remember she was coming by on her donut par I wish we could see her again man I hope I get to see that lady all right I think I'm going to park right here guys and this is where we usually have our coffee and no morning oh you know what I think we're just going to let the camera roll man that very first trip this was our spot every day we were here every single day all right let me pull up a little bit closer oh yeah man thank you oh and this is the area actually where at night it lines up with Street fre food we'll be out here to do one of those videos as well but look there's also a lot of different coffee shops thank you so much thank you oh it feels so good to be back here huh yay it's actually not hot today it's fresh not so hot today yeah uh not hot today yeah it's very fresh I already know what I'm getting I don't even know I asked for the menu but you go ahead what time you up in uh 6 600 in the morning oh we could have came here earlier sick that's amazing I want a latte with BBA latte with BBA with sugar or without sugar without sugar without sugar and can I do like a caramel ice latte uh ice ice car yeah thank you oh man she's so nice oh this place is awesome so yeah guys before when I first came here it was basically just a small little shop right here right um there was actually a young man that was working at the shop remember and they had just opened I think she was here too yeah I I'm not sure guys to be honest I'm that was a long time ago because I don't remember like that P so maybe I I should go back and look at at my old video it was actually when I gave the $100 look if you guys want to see this um go and look up the video on my Cambodia playlist where I gave Serena the $100 for the donuts and I actually started the video right here but man it's unreal that I'm telling you Sim Reap is booming guys like if you want to come out here and still experience Cambodia the way it is you got to come now because give it another 5 years look how many kids are in the Moto oh my God there was four kids on one motorcycle lost the driver yeah unreal wild I haven't seen that not even in Venezuela because in my country it's crazy too yeah and a lot of motos huh yeah but if you guys want to see Sim reap as it like right now still like a very humble nice place you got to come now because it's booming and I have a I have a feeling unfortunately um I mean it is great for the economy and the locals but I like seam reap the way it is man but I have a feeling that it's going to become very very very modern a lot of big hotels are going to be being built big companies are starting to come here I mean you got the Starbucks the EES the Marriotts um pretty soon man this place is going to be just like Bangkok which in my opinion is not bad but Cambodia has a very nice Special Touch right now man it's very humble place and I I really like that but I think it will be always like that even with big buildings and big companies yeah because it's some people's heart yeah and a a large a large part of that has to do with man all of the the suffering that the Cambodian people have dealt with uh throughout the years the whole the whole genocide that took place man that was very recent um I mean it took place with a couple years older than than me and you yeah around by the end of Vietnam War I think it was so it's recent history it's very recent history and I believe that the last of the camir Rouge actually left um between the years of 197 78 in 1980 so just imagine man not too long ago um a lot of damage took place oh thank you so much wasn't there there was another another young guy working here another young man oh he stopped here he stopped working here yeah oh okay but you were here you were here after Co right after yeah yeah I remember you yes H how's business now more people huh more customers more business yes uh a lot of customer here man that's amazing yeah because when we first came after Co it was empty no tourists nothing everything was closed now everything is open crazy like last night everything was full more be yes that's nice well thank you so much thank you thank you all right guys so yeah here's my caramel latte I don't ever go caramel latte I usually just go regular hot latte but um today I had to and then you got the Boba man she's is she's a boba monster yeah I love the bo the Boba and also here it's fresh so they made it fresh for you so that's true sometimes you drink it and it's still hot because it's just it was cook you know just cook and look at the system with that with the rubber band in a napkin yeah that is pretty damn cool and Guys these coffees are um $1 man you can't even go wrong dude like I'm telling you come here and support Cambodia man the the people need kids and a lot of people they come out to Southeast Asia and they only spend all their time in Vietnam and Thailand and let me just tell you guys man this place is special you come out here you'll you you'll have just as much fun as you do in those places and you might love it more this is a place where I would like to come here to write a book mhm like you get the inspiration in Anchor where at the hotel it's so peaceful that you feel like you're inside of a mountain but you're in the city exactly it's like escape and also if you one after that riding day you still want to go party it's just 5 minutes you're here or look at this 6: in the morning day open so you can be here at 6:00 in the morning drinking the coffe looking the movement of the streets I love this this city it's awesome and then right behind you is your favorite avocado toast place oh that place is awesome for breakfast we got go there nice yeah too bad our hotel included breakfast today to be honest though we might miss it tomorrow come out and um have breakfast some around here man that's what you got to do when you're on when you're in a place like this man sometimes you got to miss the breakfast at the hotel and go eat at a nice little restaurant and here there's a lot of trendy spots huh mhm that's also something how's the Boba love warm I'm eating it yeah it's so good something I really love about CM rib is that is like it's kind of Countryside right but it's also like very convenient for tourists because you have a a lot of business like uh trendy restaurants cute coffee chops like these and I love the coffee chops like with uh the small chair streets yeah but also you have a spass nail salon massage places restaurants like ncks restaurant and it's just great great and a street food of course oh yeah man the um man the street food is unreal we love those like uh the crispy noodles with the pork um the fried noodles the num CH num I think I said that wrong num ch um man so much good food the stuff frog that's why glattus actually loves the stuff frog with the lemongrass with lemongrass W it tastes great I never thought I was saying that about it she even likes the Ballo guys that's crazy I ate Ballo here in Sam for my very first time right across the street actually yeah here and she had a few of them I don't understand that one guys sorry I can't get that culture yet but anyways we're going to enjoy our coffees and then we'll continue on with our with whatever the hell we got going on I don't even know man I'm just happy to be back like I don't bro you can leave me here right here at this coffee shop and I'm good like it's beautiful man I love seeing all the bicycles the scooters the cars oh man Cambodia is a special place turn around yeah you got to turn around look at this look how she's moving oh my God backwards backwards dude that's so cool so yeah it's always a a good time out here all right let's drink our coffees and then um we'll catch up with you here in a second finished up at the coffee shop and now I'm just going through a little walk guys look at this big elephant with the Kamai people up top man I love that statue here in the center and like I said they got all kinds of Western food here like they got a pasta Corner a gelato spots they actually sell a lot of gelato here in seam reap and a lot of that has to do because man it is so damn hot here it's not every day that it's as fresh as it is right now how's it going bro it's not every day that it's as fresh as it is right now usually when I do come into seam re man it is cooking however right now because it is the rainy season the weather is actually a lot more enjoyable than it is uh when it's not rainy season but yeah this here is Pub Street guys oh man I can't wait to start diving into all of these uh streets with you but right now we're actually on our way to 7-Eleven we're going to grab some water bottles and then we're going to make our way over to the nail salon where we're going to get our nails uh fixed I know what you guys are thinking why you into a nail salon well my girlfriend says that my nails look really bad right now so she cares about the way my nails look so I'm going to go wow look at the grand entrance to the 7-Eleven you feel like royalty walking in here huh only in Cambodia only in Cambodia all right let's grab a little pokari sweat excuse me no worries man I love walking into um does like this all around the world they always got so much unique stuff man if you ever want to let loose buy one of these little cans of coffee man they're going to light you right up you're going to feel good um these Red Bulls too these m150s bro this here is like crack in a bottle all right I'm going to take one of these 100 plus make me feel like I'm in Malaysia real quick I think this is from Malaysia the people out there just go crazy for it yeah look it's from Malaysia but yeah one of my favorite drinks now there is something here that is Cambodian oh yeah of course the anchor beer we'll get to those later on man the Cambodia beer but um there is one drink that I had last time here in Cambodia that I absolutely loved where is it man I forgot I got to go back and watch one of my videos it was like a grape drink but yeah we won't worry about that too much oh man they got the Toasties here too theic one yeah but why would you why would you eat this when you're in Cambodia man you can go eat some beef LL or ad or a mo that is so much better than that all right guys well let's pay for this and then we'll get on out of here uh 4,400 D thank you so something yesterday she we were on the plane and she was like oh God those things need some work they do need some work guys I'm not going to lie to you they need they need a little bit of love and I'm about to be filming a lot of food videos so they got to look decent for you guys but um yeah I'll put the camera down now we'll make it to our appointment then I'll catch up with you guys for some lunch okay and now we made it to the salon man this salon's beautiful too guys look at these big like nail polishes dripping down onto the floor I don't know what the name is called it just shows that logo but
