I'm like a new person so I'm going to a place called meymand and there they have a eco Lodge and where I will stay for the night I'm so looking forward to stay on the countryside it is this wow I think I see it wow this hole in the wall in the rock this is so amazing wow is it a UNESCO heritage site as well really I think I see this sign so I will meet with pman he is the one who has the eco lodge so I will continue a little bit further up I think it's so peaceful and so quiet hey hi how are you very good thank you sorry I was misunderstanding everything there we go can she stand here or and in here this is where Krikko stays so so cool this is the door a lot of history here can do like this and here is the room nice ey so here you have all the different kind of tools they had back in times and stuff decorated really nice here and uh we need to find some holes uh here the stored valuable stuff for maybe food who knows shelf yeah same there a little hole in there where stored stuff and shelves here is where I'm sleeping it's the Next Room mhm two rooms like this Cozy area there bed there rocks my stuff little cozy area as well this is so cool I'm staying actually in a real Stone House now I sort of did it in Turkey a little bit but not like this this is the real one so amazing and one of the best things as well is that is so quiet and I'm middle of nowhere far from the civilization I can think I can breathe feel like home and we don't need an air condition here outside it is probably 35 degrees right now inside 24 22 it's great so great $20 I paid for this room come on and you can charge all your stuff you have WiFi a great host so so the villagers here they are sematic which means that they raise their animals on the mountains pastures depending on temporary settlements. so during the winter months they they go further down because it's cold in the mountains so they go down and find some caves and and sleep there it's amazing I'm going to go and meet with my host and we're going to go and little a tour around here in a short while so let's go for that [Music] these are grapes yes oh this called ore not grape and other things so it's very sour so it's good for cholesterol uh and in salad sometimes people use it okay and that's it nice try yeah I love sour stuff oh god I wasn't really ready for that it was good yeah nice a little bit bitter and we're going to go and explore a little bit around the area he going to show me around and you said how many caves were they here uh around 2,500 caves here oh it's turle day salom and uh very old maybe 2-3,000 years old oh wow, minimum, that's a lot of caves eh yeah do we know when they started building them when they came here for the first time no nobody didn't know no no hello watch out to felting the wool but what do you use it for the ground or for the for the table yeah also for ground yeah it's warm and this is the National sign of Meymand, they comes from maybe Mithraism okay very old sign this is the Sun yeah I could imagine exactly before Islam and Zan they are Mithraism and you can see some sign from that culture up to now the lock is the lock on my door as well that's the one yes this is the key like have a specific key that is amazing, a little big a little, don't put it in your pocket but put it here that could be exactly yes round your neck wow this is the branches of wild almond the branches of them and they make them yes yes make them and what do they have inside like a basket like a basket put something in it to keep fresh brilliant yeah wow cuz the air coming out coming down coming out, in and out it's really really good a meal for grinding grain a wooden bowl for making dough licorice nice do you know yes we have a lot of licorish in Sweden, we make a lot of candy of it this is pistachio wild pistachio yeah these are the guys exactly when I went there we saw some trees and these are the what do you call it the the nuts mhm yes almonds and walnut what what is what is this no a smoke because people used to smoke inside the caves for cooking and for heating so maybe the oil of the wood or the oil of the dishes uh is sitting on the on the roof yeah exactly and it's good for caves to doesn't collapse if you have a caves empty for a long time some sometimes people come inside and uh take fire M yeah of course because of the wet humidity yeah yeah yeah so it's started to collapse like this yep that's really good they made it happen that's true whoa wait wa wait did these are the the antlers the Horn of the yeah of the goat goat wild goat do we know what this is uh yeah wow okay it's gravestone gravestone yes a carved marble which is mine from Ravis mines placed over a grave yeah okay of course we have a public bath here so the they want do you ever get water here again yes in winter winter it comes yes of course no meymend is super nice I'm very impressed by it it reminds me a little bit of cappadoccia but less tourism yeah and before like 2018 before Corona there was a lot of Europeans coming here as well but unfortunately changed so they're not here anymore not too much now it's more Iranian people coming here and
