We Go From Darjeeling To SIKKIM! India travel
hello and good morning from darjeeling uh we are now with the backpacks on our back this year and we are getting ready to go and explore sikkim to go to gangtok and then around and go and check it out and see how it is so we are super excited now first thing of the day is getting some food obviously and then second thing of the day is getting a vehicle like one of these jeeps to go with them so let's see how that is going to happen wishes good luck and see you in the boss or in a jeep or in whatever we find and we have breakfast of champions here some these things some stingy thing and some surprise for gigi let's see if she likes it some sandwich type of thing yes take it out that looks weird no you can put this one on the card yes is it fresh yes yes fresh as pretty as possible one for me one for you a few moments later and now finally we have push and we are still in orgiling because it's a traffic jam hello and the policeman was nice and now we're crossing this huge traffic jam and heading towards jungkook and more people in the front let's go to bangkok and this is batista river now that we are right next to the river we have to get back into the car and cross it again so let's go hello hello and we're back together seek him here we go so here down at the river because the altitude is lower we went all the way down the weather is also a little bit hotter and that's why gigi right now is well she's feeling warm and she's feeling a little bit moved but we're going back up and the weather is going to be cool again now i kind of missed the drilling and the cold up there yes because here is a little bit very warm it's 27 degrees and humidity is through the roof and i was so not expecting this but well you have to go down to go back up again because this is how life around here works you go up and down and up and down and up and down and now we have a lunch break how do you prefer it the weather because honestly me i prefer cold weather rather than hot weather because in hot weather you feel like you're dying i think now that you're asking me this question of course i prefer like a little bit cold but i like 20 to 25 degrees okay come on let's go out of the car because we're the only ones inside and it's turning into a sauna let's get out the weather here is different i would say and the area is similar the people look the same let's see how the food is button my way no that's english but oh they were we are deep in the heart of the mountains people here speak a different language yeah well why because we're still in west bengal we're at the border people here speak more sikhimes nepalese lopchais and other e's languages but i'm interested to see the why why and why not in the ois here it's basically a muggy soup with some spicy but why is your why why not why why why it's very why why why why is this perfect i got myself a tukpa and it's kind of a soup that you eat with a fork you know the spoon as well somehow can you do this you eat the noodles like this um i feel like a formula one driver because the pit stop was quick the lunch break was quick now we have to go back inside the jeep to continue on our journey to guangdong so are you ready now but it's really like feeling very good let's go so very the visit to the foreign registration office here in sikkim was pretty simple i went in with my passports and my documents and my permit they stamped my passport they stand the document and now when we get out we have to do the same thing all over again simple easy peasy straight forward this is how you do it very good india very good i approve of this message now the only thing left to do is to find our jeep pack and to find gg because i left to take care of the paperwork ngg stayed to take care of the jeep so let's see where gigi is looks like i found gg and for some reason we switched cars and now we are in the back of the car with more people let's see how the journey to gun stock is gonna be like gigi it looks like we finally made it towards gangtok yeah we're entering now the city and we're going towards the center where the jeep is going to drop us off at the jeep stand and then from there we're going to have to do the same thing that didn't our feeling look for accommodation and then go and explore are you ready no why you wanna rest but we will find the hotel and we will rest in okay and we made it gg we finally made it we are in gangtok and we are near the roadway see the big building with a big cable yeah and right behind us is the national institute of tibetology interesting that's very interesting yes maybe we should explore this area a little bit more yes and now we're gonna make our way towards the mg marg or how is gold the center that's gonna be a long way not a long way did you come on a long way was still here now it's short now we just walk it's simple so gg as a first first first first first impression of sikkim what do you think about seeking compared to the places that we've been so far before around here it's different than darjeeling definitely okay wait bye oh my goodness you want the first impressions from me okay i'm not like the most energetic person right now because we traveled for six hours in a in the back of a jeep with like two hours left last night but if you wanted first impressions for me i like it it's fresh it's not very cold it's not very hot does it look any different than the other places yes definitely it looks very different than darjeeling for example you have sidewalks here you don't have the train anymore but yeah well it's kind of cool it's very clean though everybody told us it's clean and my first first impression was like when crossing the road all the cars from both the both sides like stopped and let me cross the road even though i didn't like i was just patiently waiting for it that was very nice i didn't expect and also this is still india because we have salman khan over here our friend he is following us everywhere yeah true other than that i don't know i see a fog like puppies everybody has a pet here they love dogs they love pets just like the shops look right pretty western police everywhere they're doing their job traffic police like pretty beautiful i love folks yeah i do other than that just judge by yourself no honking what's going on where are we no honking no there are a lot of shops on the street uh and people are like shyly getting like putting their head out the windows and they're just like looking like this it's like you know like a lot of people told us in their chilling that we were the first tourists the first foreign tourists like tall white people basically this is what they said they were seeing like since before since covet shut everything down in india and now i think this is the same thing happening in sikkim and that's like okay oh it's a bit overwhelming like for us and then both and the mountains there in the back amazing a lot of first impressions guys i think i'm gonna have a better first impression while drinking a cup of tea on the touristic street road here and uh and seek him and maybe explore a little bit around where his first first first impressions is like good job sikkim i have no idea you're so pretty heard a lot but didn't leave it until i see it with my own eyes and we made it on the mg market road market street food streets shop street everything street okay now first things first hotel hello then money hello and then food in this order hotel money food before sunday before sunset very good two hours later today after searching for i don't know two hours through sikkim to find a place to sleep we finally found this place which is called karma and it's right in the middle of the city it's not sponsored or anything but like we wanted to show you how an accommodation here looks like in sikkim for a medium budget for example for because like now it's april the beginning of the high season for tourists and prices still range from 800 to 1500 rupees this is the room it looks pretty nice i think we did a pretty good job here we already installed ourselves here hi it's a big mirror we have here we have some drawers we have a nightstand and some lamps and stuff it's nothing fancy it's just simple basic accommodation with a double bed and michael's cap already there and um this is like some other thing we have here like a little couch and a big um dresser and a tv and a small coffee table and let me show you the washroom the washroom is like this pretty simple clean and i can go marble floor not marble but like some tiles some like fancy tiles um people call this geezer here it's like a boiler with a mirror and a sink and some shower like a push gun and yeah washroom simple easy pretty basic pretty basic but quite cool like you can boil some water have something here this is like a pretty quite cool accommodation and now let me try to switch off the light here so i can show you guys the location of this place this is uh marma gandhi god mod mod i mean it is the main street of sikkim this is still busy at this time of the hour when uh people uh still go out until long after 10 pm when everybody closes down and yeah this is basically what we have here and how our accommodation looks and uh it's ultra central like more central than this it doesn't get more more central than this where the third floor now gets the price so because the owner was really really nice and we i think we discovered we have some things in common um he was he gave us like one of the best prices on the market we couldn't say no to and uh i think we really did a good deal you guys tell us if it's right or wrong um this accommodation went for 1 200 rupees per night and we're gonna be here for a few days so i think it's a
