Hi everyone, welcome to our channel! In the last video, we showed you the Big Buddha statue, temples, and various cafés and restaurants here in Phuket. But today, we’re picking up where we left off and exploring what else this amazing island has to offer. Now we're heading to a very special place, a café and restaurant combined, where the main attraction is a beautiful lake filled with giant lotus leaves —so big that you could probably even sit on them. The café is located in a peaceful, quiet area, far from the busy tourist center.

You can get here by car or motorbike. Hello! How many persons? - Two What I didn’t like about this place is that so many people want to take photos by the lake, and you could end up waiting in line for an hour. Secondly, there are too many guests and not enough waiters, so it takes quite a while to get your order. But guess what? You can also book accommodation here. I walked over to check out the area where the guests stay, and there's a wellness spa.

I checked on Booking.com to see what the rooms look like inside, and they seem great. The prices are around 20 to 23 US dollars per night, per person. Regarding the beaches, this one was my favorite. I’m sure many others felt the same because the beach was quite packed, and it was hard to find parking. Like many beaches in Asia, a steep and slippery path led down from the parking area to the sandy beach, but the view at the end was totally worth the effort. What I love about Thailand is that even at a remote beach like this, they don’t leave tourists hungry or thirsty.

There was a small food stall offering cold drinks, hot meals, and of course, the iconic Thai massage was available here too. Now we’ve come to another beach. There aren’t many people here, but maybe that’s because it’s already afternoon and people have other plans. I think this beach is nice too, but I also prefer the previous one. We hopped back on the scooter, and along the way, we saw a bunch of cute little craft shops selling statues and paintings. But we're not stopping now

because we’re really hungry. So, we’re gonna stop at a gas station where there’s a Seven Eleven, grab something to eat, and then head back to the hotel to chill by the pool. Show the inside! Try this one, it’s a big sushi. Now we’re heading out for an early dinner at Wee Café, which is our favorite place to eat because the food is super healthy, and they even grow some of the ingredients organically themselves.

Honestly, I’ve never had better salads anywhere, but of course, they don’t just have salads. They have soups and desserts too, so I really recommend this place to everyone. We’ve just stopped to fuel up, and as you can see, the gas stations in Phuket aren’t as basic as the ones we saw on smaller Thai and Vietnamese islands. Make sure to check out those videos if you haven’t already! The thing is, Phuket feels too modern and touristy for us.

We prefer more authentic places, so we’ll definitely return to one of those islands. And now we’re heading to the night market! At the markets, you can find all sorts of food, handmade products and local specialties. One of the most shocking experiences here is the exotic food like fried insects or alligator meat.

Let us know in the comments what you think! Would you dare to try them? Of course, there are plenty of normal dishes too both sweet and savory. In terms of prices, meals here range from about 2 USD to 5 USD. We’ll be spending the next day in the old town, checking out a few shops and cafés, and we’re also planning to get a massage at a nice salon. Can you imagine that this part of the city is famous for its Chinese-Portuguese architecture? Who would have thought that the Portuguese actually came here, and now we’re strolling through streets that feel like we could be in Portugal, even though we’re in the tropics.

But what was even more surprising was what we saw in Vietnam, where the French were for a long time, and they even have a Notre-Dame in Ho Chi Minh City! Definitely check out that video too cuz it’s absolutely mind-blowing. We’ve arrived at the massage salon. A 1.5-hour traditional Thai massage costs 18 USD,

but we went for the 1-hour massage, which was 11 USD. It’s a nice gesture to leave a tip, which we gave directly to the masseuse. They offer different types of massages, like foot massage, head and shoulder massage, and aroma oil massage.

What I really liked was that the salon is filled with plants, creating a small oasis inside. There are old, vintage-style furniture pieces, and relaxing meditation music is playing in the background. First, you get a glass of water, and at the end, they invite you to sit for a little while before leaving. They serve herbal tea and a traditional dessert here, it was a kind of cake, but in some places, it’s sticky rice with mango. I could taste a spice in the cake, but it was sweet. Back to the jungle :) We’re off-roading again on the scooter.

Our last stop today, and we also say goodbye to the island, is the Three Monkeys restaurant. We loved this place so much that we came here twice. The guys asked me to join them for a song, but I passed on the opportunity. Let’s talk about the prices too. Thai dishes range from 4 USD to 6 USD forints.

Seafood platters are a bit pricier, around 16 USD–20 USD. They also have Western dishes: burgers are 10 USD with fries, steak is around 16 USD–23 USD, salmon salad is 11 USD, and spaghetti with mussels is 14 USD. Japanese dishes like sushis are around 5 USD–8 USD. That’s all for today! From here, we’re heading to Bangkok, so join us in the next episode! Also, we’d really appreciate it if you liked this video and subscribed to our channel—it helps us keep it going. Thanks, and see you soon!
