Porsche Club Championship 2019 Prog 10 Donington Park
this program is the petrol canada lubricants Porsche club championship with Pirelli [Music] [Music] [Music] the petrol Canada lubricants Porsche club championship with Pirelli makes its second visit of the 2019 season to the beautiful Donington Park circuit in Leicestershire this is the final round of what has been a thrilling 2019 campaign and it's Simon Clark who leads the points thriving here at the final two races however he's not going to have things all his own way the competition in class one has been intense right from the start of the season but it's actually a class two competitor Ross Morris who is his nearest rival possibly less than ten points between them with just two races to go this should be a good one [Music] sorry Clark championship leader arriving here at fine land of the season and what a season it's been it's all come down to the last few Rosen it's very very tight yeah this it is really tight to Sam got a pretty consistent season touch with him so but yeah it would have been nice to have got his side up sooner and maybe not quite had the same stress for today but it makes it more interesting for every males to watch obviously well with Ross Morris now who has one hand already on the class two championship title after all last time outs be your eyes very much effect on the overall crown art Lee this weekend well yeah it should be happy with the class to book when you get a sniff of the overall title you tend to get a bit greedy so I've got greeted me at the minute I'm gonna try and do my best and you know hope that there's other boys in my my team cannot qualify Clark and beat him in the race always an exciting time of the year isn't it for you and outside better the championship how much is is that where your focus is this weekend it's also play for because mr. Clark has a DNF meeting Chris can win it if you come as 5th 6th or 7th my son Ross can win it in class to so it's all to play for and I'm the best I can do if mr. Clark one night I can get third overall and second in class one but I want to I want the win like so so the pressures on for mr. Clark really Paul sitter through our first race today and you only just missed out on a double pole as well it's been a promising start to the day great start to the day there's a very interesting quali we've had plenty of them this year nothing's been entirely straightforward able to get on it fairly quickly and nailed a couple of decent times and then for various reasons I think that tire pressures went up there was a bit I think it's a bit of fluid down somewhere so the car was getting a bit Larry then but now we know that we'll we'll try and adjust that for the race so very happy about that thinks but Carl you're a familiar face in the paddock having done a season in the restoration championship this year are you hoping to use this maybe as a springboard for next year to come and join the championship full-time and be maybe to bring some others with you yeah well it's possible just see how it goes on the slicks I enjoy the slicks it's the car feels really good in on slicks well this two of us is Julie Morris as well who's stepped up as well so we just thought we'd ever go for this last race and see how it goes how have you enjoyed your season then open-class won this season the racing has been incredibly tight and you've been in the thick of all of the action it seems yeah it's been it's been really tight but I've just had a lot of bad luck to be honest there I think we'd always like to do better I feel that some places I had the pace to do better but that's about it but big thanks to David Carr taking care and then ash and Carl have come and helps out because they've really done a good job for us this year dad's not out this weekend either Saul of the the family your hopes are on your shoulders yeah it's a very weird experience for me actually because I've never started a race weekend without him in my in my career so it's a bit sad because we do enjoy going out together we're normally quicker when we go out together because we push each other on but yeah hopefully I'll be able to go out there get a good result for the team and doing proud that's a lot mate cheers that's a lot rates number one a basket underway here and a blustery and overcast Donington part there are a few spots of rain in the air just to add an extra bit of spice to the mix my price on pole position Simon Clark's towards the front as well whilst his big rival Ross Morris is only forth on the grid in his class you'll need to improve on that to keep his title hopes alive Richard it's over to you to talk us through this Andy thanks mate Mike price on pole Pete Morris alongside Simon Clarke had Jake McAleer comprising Row two then Chris diet and Craig Wilkins Kevin Harrison and Andy toon wrapping up the tough eight James Kelly is next from James Coleman the class to pole position man Toby Barlow ahead of Kevin Molyneux and del Brett then Ross Morris pull Seagrave with max Woolston home Matt Carl Henny from Steve Freeman Angus Archer Julien Morris Carl Hazleton John toward off Scott Adams Natalie McGloin and Glen broster completing the grid Glen not getting a lap time in in qualifying so expect him to come through in his class one machine ready for the start red lights out and like the proverbial off the shovel teak forest very quick indeed Chris Dyer is on the grass manages to rejoin but Pete Morris was very very very quick indeed Jake Makani looks around the outside there's some jostling positioning to read gate got a car starting from pit lane Ross Morris is currently around the outside line of 45 tall Seagrave in car with 48 James Toby Barlow so Toby getting stuck in there's one when his class in races a couple of times this year and Toby running third in the championship too fast to a great start Pete Morris I was going to speculate that Morris was quit because they have taken a little bit of weight out of the 1960's and 99 7 to try and match the Caymans to obviously what the organizers want is different models in in the in the racing and the Caymans have had a super year and with weight coming out I suppose there are some that might argue that the drivers have the good drivers of the caimans have been punished for having the weight taken out but I applaud any move by the championship organizers to make things level and it seems to be working doesn't it because we've got the championship leader busy chasing at the moment Simon Clark chasing Pete Morris with Mike priced at old man in third place Kevin Harrison up ahead there of Jake McAleer and then busy chasing him he's handy tuning the number four car we've got class three driver Julian Morris out we've got three class three drivers in this one Scott Adams in the Porsche Centre Cardiff car and John taught off in the Leeds machine out there and also as you heard Carl Hazleton who he's actually running in class 2 with slicks on the car and as we mention it he pops into screen so good to see Cole having a run and Jake McClure ahead of Chris dive very unusual to not have Mark McAleer on the grid I tried to look back through the various results that I've collected over the years and I can't see when we lost didn't have marker and meeting certainly looked just look to two or three years back as Natalie McGloin engages in battle with the number 70 class two car of Angus Archer some great battles going on all the way down the field a quick reminder that told position in class two went to James Coleman from Toby Barlow those two looking to try and move up the order it's a Kevin Molyneux second in class at the moment from Ross Morris now I've done some tweets calculations there is the toll man James Coleman the points that you saw at the end of our last program reflected the total points scored because the organisers don't release anything we drop scores and it's understandable because we actually don't know how many points are going to be scored over the last couple of races and I'll come on to how the points are are scored or or added up as it were for each race and it's not just a straightforward score that we have to me right so as a result although I reckon we are going to have both back class champions virtually confirmed here everything is provisional until all the tech checks are done so we probably won't call a champion and Michael price is out Mike price the clock position man no luck for the number seven cart once again a third retirement of the year disappointment for Mike only his fifth start of the season Michael price out of the race and that's a shame because Mike's a great guy quick driver lovely beautifully prepared car then brush to making progress there in the number 15 nine nine six and look at this race we've got between Jake McAleer Kevin Harrison's got away from him and then three-time winner this year Chris Dyer in the number nine Kamath he's first three outright wins coming this year it was a long-term exponent of class two as you'll be aware side the Clark still trying to hunt down Pete Morris peak trying to keep himself eating the points and I'll come on two points a little bit later on when the race settles down a tad more so loads going on Natalie McGloin still enjoying her race with Carl Hazleton Porsche Center Chester class two car and Natalie working hard marshals are tending to Mike prices car fare all bit of kit to push and it might be it is an uphill task there you can see for the two marshals just out of shot when we go back in there they are working hard we're looking at the race as you can fully expect Greg Wilkins goes through in number 11 Kraig qualifying in sixth position here and partial season for Craig Wilkins so not in contention for the championship which points in fast one Clark or positions in in class one Simon Clark Pete Morris Chris Dyer Jake Michael a fourth mark McAleer in fifth Andy tune will probably overtake mark McLaren standings to go fifth this weekend and vehicles passes of the Strasse team who are leading the teams championship which we'll be keeping on as well counting classics second Simon Clarke Kevin Harrison and Mike Price won't be doing Mike's retirement not doing encounter classics any favors in the Teebs and then our VR which is the two Macanese and Steve Freeman are in third place in the teams championship brief look they're at the wash line of golden livery of job torn off Trofeo cars with James Caelian Alastair Isles 34th in the teams championship so there's always plenty of interest in the tub championship whether it's the individual drivers the the the overall championship the class championships and the team championship so much to watch there is Angus Archer regular podium finisher in class two moved across a while ago from the BRS CC Porsche championship and that is Chris Dyer taking a spin it's a half speed but it gets on the gas maybe a little bit too early winds up facing the wrong way so Chris dice not gonna be an overall win here we've got a bit of bodywork on the track which er of brave Marshall is going to after maybe get at some stage I'm not sure whose bumper that is but a little bit of drama already in the first half of our opening of two races here at Donington Park [Music] OUTFRONT dealing with a bit of traffic teat Boris it's got a wee bit of a lead at the moment over Simon Clark but Maurice one here at Darlington Park the opening race that's it a little bit of deja vu think Morris winning or leading the opening race here at Donington Park I'd say winning because the curse of the commentator will often strike but it's Simon Clark in second place and third position at the pair of martini livery salient roof spectacular coming down together and it is Carl Hazleton who's about to be passed by Toby Barlow I really did look cool coming down the main straight so back with Kevin Harrison running at the moment in third place Jake McAleer has actually closed in on the league trio there was a little bit of a gap which opened up between Harrison and Jake McAleer but Jake's getting a move on he has got the fastest lap of the race as well I came in Harrison get sideways going into the chicane loses third position Jake McCann Aires up on for a podium there was something broken on Kevin's car to course that he is prone we've got my crisis prone car as well at the back of shot there so we really are getting some big hitters suffering retirements in this race which is not good to see as we watch Toby Barlow busy chasing to try and get up towards a podium position Kevin Harrison has got his car going and will come down into pit lane I think that's going to be another retirement sadly for Kevin Harrison the number 60 car double winner our second Brands Hatch meeting we have been very Brands Hatch heavy this year and indeed Donington heavy we took two outings at Donington three events or two events three rounds as it were at Brands Hatch Aries pull Seagrave who is running well poor now in class one and really good to see Paul running in in class one this weekend having been up near podium tasting class two and four working hard as his Simon Clark trying to close down on Peter Morris so at the moment with these two very evenly matched the gap on drop scores by my mathematics coming into this race was 39 points now for reason said through on the inside line of Kevin Molyneux goes toby ball over toby runs a little bit why Molyneux is going to knit back toby gets back on track that loses a fair amount of ground there meanwhile deep morris trying to break away from Simon Clark so it's the 997 remember Teeter was the first driver to win outright in the 997 so really coming coming into that car taking that car on as a project if you like in the championship was a brave thing to do we've said Mike price runs 997 as well James Kelly Mart McAleer who's not racing this weekend sadly as we heard but those guys developing the car within the confines of the championship Matt Carl Henny making a move there as well and he's coming through about too fast Natalie McGloin there is our leader in fast to James Coleman who has had a great season late joiner into the championship James Coleman but running well this to battle for the lead though Pete Morris is under pressure from Simon Clark I'll go back to the points and I wrote now I won't because out of the race very sadly goes James Kelly so no points for him for Truffaut cars it's disappointing and Alastair Isles not racing with us this weekend so they're not going to be able to close in on our VR in the third or fourth or third face position in the team championship across the line goes blend broster Glen has climbed up through the field very well indeed through goes andy tune on the inside line of Steve Freeman Steve Freeman dropping a lap he's running in sixth position at the moment in class two Steve Freeman Pete Morris has started to eke out a little bit of a gap over Simon Clark here is our class 2 leader James Coleman still there now the gap in class two on drops caused by my mathematics 57 points between Ross Morris and Kevin Mullin you have been running third in class at the moment and really and truly with the amount of points available there will not be 57 points available in race two so Ross Moore is finishing ahead here if Kevin Molyneux will be enough to provisionally secure him the class two title but I understand and respect the fact that the organizers won't declare that kind of information formally until the end of race too the reason for that is because there are a lot of issues points-wise that they have to work out the points structure obviously primarily based on the position in the race 25 points for a win 21 for second and so on but then there's extra points pole position gets a point fastest lap gets a point getting your entry form in on time gains a point then we have additional points for the number of starters in each class bonus points for up to 10 that starter so an extra ten bonus points and that's so that the overall championship winner is the driver our problems there for Paul Seagrave has a spin hopefully nobody will collect him and he'll get going again to go back to the points if there are less than 10 starters in the class you get less points for winning the class which is fair and therefore if you've beaten more drivers you've got more chance of winning the overall championship so that's the logic there and then finally there's another bonus point which goes out for a car being presented to the race with no damage and that is a really good idea but it also means that we really can't sort of confirm the overall totting up to the points till after the race because I have to play information but at the moment it does look 39 points was the drop score gap by my maths coming into this race I don't think anyone will get 39 points in race - so Simon Clark is gonna be on his way to the championship here even though Pete Morris's taking a couple of points out of him by leading and winning this race Ross Morris originally should wrap up class two but then we're going to be looking to the overall championship there is Glenn broster super Drive Thru he is well inside the top ten overall from the very back of the grid James Coleman in the top ten as well the leader of class - Ross Morris running second in class at the moment Andy tune in the number four running in fifth place so this is the battle for fifth between Andy tune and Glenn broster we've had a lot to talk about here with all of the various championship scenarios going on Matt Culhane II know su as well Simon Clark I think he is as much as anything I'm not saying he could have beat Pete Morris here but he will be thinking about championship points and won't board the DNF which Peter Morris was talking about in the pre-race interviews with Andy so cross the line there we'll go Kevin Molyneux battling for a podium position in class two and we have had some great racing in class - once again but it's Pete Morris with a little bit more of a gap now Matt Kyle Haney is next up he's running fifteen class - then Jake McAleer as Pete Morris takes the win Pete Morrissey second win of the season Simon Clark takes second place third position will go to Jake McAleer from Craig Wilkins and some more battling going on down the order we're watching the number three of Ross Morris who is there ahead of Kevin Mullin Udai Singh for podium positions in class two but the overall race winner was district 8 with that start or podium team top of the podium in this particular race and don't forget we've got class three runners as well and the class 3 runners headed by Scott Adams but here is our class two winner and it's going to be another win for James Coleman it comes across the line now James is in fifth position in the championship and goes across the line to take the class to win second in class will be Ross Morris from Kevin Molyneux those two relatively close together and they're followed by Toby Barlow's the second third and fourth in class two all very much together so good clothes stuff from the Boxter boys as they cross the line to finish the first race here at Darlington [Music] here's the result Pete Morris winning from Simon Clarke and Jake McAleer Craig Wilkins forth from Andy tune and blimp Rasta Chris Dyer next up from James Coleman the class 2 winner Ross Morris Kevin Molyneux intent from Toby Barlow and self Bret Matco hen eat Heather Poole Seagrave Andy Freeman kopazar - next from Natalie deployed last three won by Scott Adams Ron job taught off Pete Boris well done race victory in the first race at Darlington part you go well here though yeah oh yeah we we started the championship here and about 1st and a six so I went off in the second round I've got a beat so I decided ties back for the second race - for this afternoon first is great thanks to victory so yeah yeah we hope hopefully the tire's all they're keeping for me Simon Clarke well done second place in the first race and that really was what you had to do wasn't it stay out of trouble and get a podium yeah absolutely and there was a temptation to have a nibble at Pete here and there that a very big temptation that's shot a couple of like goes but yeah great like really really good result really pleased we'll start actually that's quite it's quite yeah it was quite proud of that because came is Jimmy not as good as the Carolinas a 911 but seems to go well today so yeah kids Jake well done third place in race one at Donington Parker a feisty race there though for you you were right in the thick of it right from the start there really yeah well then you some deal pretty well actually I was in the middle of everything pretty much from the get-go and didn't get a bad start but just got pushed out wide a bit of red gate and yeah for the first five minutes how struggle that really really struggled with the car and just nothing was happening for me and obviously one or two cars then and then all of sudden the clouds came alive and yes I tried to make my way back through and I think we genuinely had the pace to win that race just and there are incidents kept cropping up in denial on the aural add a huge moment as well which dropped me from quite close to Simon Clark's are nowhere near so yeah it's one of those James well do another race victory in class - I believe about your fifth now the year and they leave your aim this weekend to an extent about 7/10 quicker in qualifying and you just Raceway and race I think qualifying I just gave myself enough room I think that accounts for that and I know Toby was 2 or 3 temps behind me in race place and no not really just where I was on track I got out in front sorry Kevin go out in front again managed to get past him on lap one and just gap them really so I wasn't battling anyone so I could just be consistent when well that times while they were slurring each other down behind Ross Morris second place in class 2 in that race it was a reasonably lowly race until the last few laps I didn't think I was gonna go anywhere that race lonely in 4th and the charge were well off the brakes were going don't sudden those pair of squabbling and started falling back I thought I could get a good run on the mirror so I think was the last luck um I've been bitten a lot before but I've got a good run off off the gang got Toby and then I've got Kevin down the craner's yeah let me just enough for him so how did it race one but it was a lively end I might just really get in the end yeah me Toby and wasps had a good little battle at the end what's battled his way through and made it thro but it was a good greasy to be honest so we all got caught a few times but great race [Music] well the race one victory in class 3 goes to Scott Adams then and Scott you overturned a deficit in qualifying to almost quicken venue in qualifying but you actually were nearly 10 seconds up the road by the end of the race well done yeah fortunately for Johnny spun we are going alright after obviously missing him and yeah just managed the gut legislation is your first podium it heater class three this season here at W Park a solid race for you the aerial all round yeah I I'm good too I didn't come first actually but on on the first lap the gain front of me went off and he ended up in the gravel and ain't about it go at the gravel to avoid him I managed to get out eating but by the time I got out they were slight half the straight behind everybody so um but no he was steady away and it was a really enjoyable and so hopefully we go one step foot one step bit further up the podium on on the second race well Mike we spoke to you a couple of hours ago and there were high hopes for a good result in that first race didn't quite go to planned in it unfortunately not know the the start was a little bit better it's been my Achilles heel this season so I lost a couple of places but in the process of defending from anymore there was a bit of contact in there not particularly usual term one in this series but I think a bit of rear-wheel impact probably contributed towards the failure of the drive shaft or there certainly there to join with the drive shaft so found a replacement in the paddock and they're going to be working on it so I it looks good to be back on the grid front row start p2 for that and see what we can do and I'll be um well revved up for it well coming into this weekend the Darlington decider Strasser Racing were already I think provisionally crowned as the team champions I've got Paul and Lindsay here from the team with me now it's been a fantastic year hasn't it Paul for the team on the whole the drivers individually everything's got more or less to plan really hasn't it it has it's been a great season once again and you know the drivers performed well the team performed well and and I think that's why we won the drivers championship because we work together and it's more like a family than a team as well and this is the second year on the run inning we've won the the team championship and prior to that we need three times in a row we missed a year but then you know so that's you know a testament to the team and what we can do and what we can achieve so beer has been fantastic Ian yeah one thing that's what struck me from working with the guys and chatting to them between races is the friendly atmosphere around the team it is like a family I think Paul summed it up nicely didn't they absolutely yeah we try and create an environment where everybody wants to join in so the drivers their families their friends because what we want to do is promote this whole championship as a as a really friend and really accessible championship you know you don't need to be into the thousands of thousands of pounds to do it and it's a friendly paddock it's a friendly grid as a team we just we just have a great time well I'm with Glenn brass tonight who was our driver of the race after race one earlier on you started at the back of the grid came home six first of all why were you at the back of green what happened in qualifying we had brake issues turns out it was a brake sensor it was given a faulty reading so when we press the brake actually throttled the car up there was no throttle whatsoever so we thought we fixed it went out it turns I had no brake lights so I've had my wrist slapped hopefully it's repaired it's just past scrutineering again so we're good to go well as you can see behind me the cars are leaving the assembly area ahead of the final race of the 2019 season Pete Morris's on pole position but Mike price with a fixed up car is lining up the lopsided before trying again another race victory back in class - its James Colburn on pole position with Ross Morris needing a winner as a bare minimum to keep his title hopes alive Richard for the final time this year it's over to you thanks Andy and for great work keeping us up to speed with the goings on in the paddock Pete Morris on toll with Michael price alongside Jake McAleer and Simon Clark on next up in class one class two headed by James Coleman and Toby Barlow Ross Morris and Kevin Molyneux third and fourth respectively and class three headed by John torn off once again from Scott Adam Scott did get the fastest lap as well in class three in race number one for old Clem broster driver at the race in race one has got to do it all again from twenty fifth on the grid see if he can get up in towards the top six again Pete Morris very quick Mike price again struggling as you heard him saying the interviews with Andy but it's it's a Mike Price getting overtaken by Simon Clark Jack McAleer on the inside McAleer goes up into second price he's third side the clock and quite get the big burn up around the outside and get in amongst the podium positions at the moment but it's a long race remember so time for them to sort themselves out and Simon clutch was wide there as he came through Hollywood and he's on the grass the champion elect is on the grass the only thing that really means is it via drops call for him hopefully we'll get going again but major drama at the start of the last race round 14 of the season and Simon Clark is not going to go out with the win even though he might come away with the championship so we'll watch and see how things unfold Ross Morris still in the in the mix there as you can see and should take the class to championship there is del Brett in the 997 Del's had to outright toptenz Mike Price now back up ahead of Jake back earlier as they come through the chicane to complete the lap but Peter Morris is away in our front and brushed are already busy clearing cars and working his way through the class 2's Kevin Molyneux the next target at podium man who goes to the previous race Jake McAleer he had the fastest lap in race one it was Jake fourth last one James Coleman lost to Scott Adams in class three taking the fastest laps Kyle Hazleton coming under fresh there is John torn off and John busy again chasing Scott Adams in the 55 the silver gray and gold cars one and two in the class 3s and immediately behind them you would saw the light blue and white car of champion elect Simon Clarke Simon tone you have one retirement so far round 10 of the championship team Horace has not had any retirements into ocean and say that should I really as cyber clock really getting stuck in he'll get his tract on value for money here with having to pass some traffic normally he has to come up on the class threes if they're in the race of course and some class to later on in the event but getting traffic earlier than he would have otherwise normally expected Nathalie third that Chris Dyer Craig Wilkins in the number 11 Chris Dyer is actually the most experienced Canada who could support a club racing with Torelli driver in the field has 19 career starts in the championship most of which for each class to marry Simon Clark [Music] Simon working hard relative newcomer compared to the rest of employment Clark this is Simon's 30th start by my reckoning in the championship but McAleer the driver with the most British to her six feet orestes third on one six for having taken 37 career wins 90 podía 36 class wins as Glen Ross - continues to make progress through the field as well which I have three outright wins - a poder 24 class rings out of his illustrious career in the championship Kevin Harrison there in the number 16 five-time winner 34 podium 21 starts including this one for Kevin Harrison as Michael price now showing the pace that he had outright in qualifying getting on the case of deep Morrissey's Michael price so a good battle on for the lead out of the chicane they go comparison giving chase as well it is such a very competitive field the quality of the drivers in class one really and truly I mean if you look at the stats will tell you everything that most of the drivers at the sharp end of the field have won races and if they haven't you would say that they are capable of taking race wins it's all very briefly there Glenn broster has now cleared James Coburn is the battle for the class 3s remember the rest are racing the classic restoration cars at their own separate championship this year but do get to share the grid from time to time with the class 1 and class 2 s and although their championship was wrapped up for Oulton Park and in favor of end the block them comfortably drivers still electing to come out this we've heard car Heiser to box things on going up into class 2 this is the battle to the lead though Pete Morris being carried here by Michael price Jake McAleer it was fastest in race one showing a good turn of speed and look at all the leaders together this is a fine sight here in the championship price all over the back of Morris at the moment Pete would love to go away from his home circuit with a double win but Mike price wants it Jake McAvoy wants to show his dad what he can do it'll be weird for Mark to be watching this now as price goes wide he's going to go for the rough around the outside line can't eat your level they're side by side team champion Pete Morris the Strasser team in front still Michael price has a look goes wide again Morris giving it room which is absolutely fair Kevin Harrison in fourth place down through the Creina curves they go once again and 80 still Pete Morris out front Jack McAleer still there Chris tiring fourth Kevin Harrison in fifth place Simon Clark head of this group there is Steve Freeman and then Matt Kyle Kenny Matt's been a great addition to the championship this year and I think might be moving on to the the new Carrera Cup championship all all the cable chapter which is coming being set is somewhere between the Porsche Club Championship and Carrera Cup the next year we'll make some British Touring Car Championship Weekend appearances as Michael price looks down the inside line price going for the lead is there a gap dates out on the brakes I thought that could end in tears but they both managed to sort it out there see these braces they know what they're doing the bike price now though coming off the gas loses momentum and Jake Mackel is all over him that's Huawei that goes to the inside factory outside line to jake McAleer that we looking to carry speed down through the craters boom while we've got the glass twos at the other end of the week cross straight coming through on the inside line with del Brent goes Ross Morris del del Brett remember he's in class 1 so that's a big Scout there for Ross Morris to go through goodness me all close stuff here at the moment getting involved there Kevin Molyneux needs to try and clear del Brett to get on the back end of Toby Farlow in the martini livery 48 here's the battle between the two class 3s very evenly matched that's what class three classic restaurant racing is all about keeping it even and the organizers do that with respect to class 1 and class 2 again is now we see Mike prices got back he touched down and hooked up with P boys and they both off the jack he was close it was more than goes they take each other he looked like they couldn't get unhooked and mice and price the top two drivers from qualifying are out of the race and on the grass Morris's double hopes go Mike prices hope of victory goes and that means that jake McAleer will need the race now McAleer in front here at Donington Park major drama [Music] [Music] Jake McAleer then now the race leader Kevin Harrison he set a third place he's an detune we Andy Tunis could be on for a first career outright podium so Andy toon inheriting it or otherwise is a great job from him there is the race leader in class two James Coleman still there at the moment and just trying to work out the ramifications for the championship feat Morris will what did I say about Pete Morris not having a deity I'm so sorry we I said that he hadn't had a retirement oh yeah I thought he was going to go through the whole season without a retirement here might Christ and a generation into the gravel there for Glenn Foster front end off Glen broster chasing through the field and he's off the circuit just so we talked about the first two retirees we get a third from class one well they've made it back into pit lane it would be very interesting to hear what they have to say about the incident but of course we'll be talking to race winners of championship winners as Chris Dyer in the Cayman busy chasing hard lines Glen Ross the super driving race while I'm working hard again in race two to come through the field but it winds up with retirement very very sadly as James Coleman will continue on his way and a great winning run James Coleman remember three class wins on the bounce on his debut in the championship before a DNF in race two at a third meeting at Brands Hatch was day two of the two diable in to replace the missing Silverstone Grand Prix circuits weekend really did shake up a number of championships silver stones late decision to resurface their track it needed to be done and you know fair paid for doing it but maybe the organization could think about the ramifications of upsetting everything at Club racing because club racing feeds in in such a big way into the bigger picture of motor racing and a lot of clubs really missed out on losing big meet Silverstone is always a big meeting for whoever goes there so enough comment from the film app from Eve said enough this season about it but anyway we've we've all survived the season which is the key thing as we watch the 48 car Tobey Barlow is running well an impotent position at the moment as is Ross Morris Ross will be provisionally class two champion Kevin Bala new I think will be the silver medal position for Class two as we're into the final few laps of this season and James Coleman he's going to I think sneak up into the bronze medal position which considering James didn't join us till around five of the championship incredible performance for him you could effectively write off two races through drop scores but he's he's overcome more than that as well good to see Kevin Harrison chasing hard here is the battle between Andy to the two Strasser machines and étude ahead of Chris Dyer even without Pete Morris team Strasse are still picking up some good points in the race Jake McAleer though he's out front fastest left again for Jake I hope that dad partner clear isn't thinking of hanging up his overalls but all good as Jake is it's lovely to see the Terrorism on track and I think there's a 20 ball twins to come from Mark McAleer in the in the championship but Jake proving that it's very much in the genes for the McAleer family there is max Kyle Henny he was down behind a mention the top three class - Toby Barlow next from Steve framing the championship then Matt Coyle Henny but a traffic now to deal with for the race leader Angus Archer after head of John torn off John clearly enjoying his racing and who knows might see a few more runs with the class two cars sorry class 3 restoration classic liveried cars with the where they have standalone rounds next year so it'd be good to see three different classes and when you have all three classes on track it does highlight for the spectators at the track instead on the inside line of Angus Archer goes the race leader Kevin Harrison still second chris dyer still very close indeed to the third-place man Andy tune but Andy looking relatively comfortable there is Ross Morris in car number three running second in class - Jack McAleer passed the class three leader which is Scott Adams and there is the class two leader the 47 car of James Coleman on his way to another win Julian Morris he's still running in this one as well Julian in a car that we're familiar with from class three but actually running in class two today and I'll go back to the point that I started to make which was that when you've got all three classes together class one and two generally run together anyway as you know but when we see the class three cars it gives everybody a good idea of the ladder of opportunity here that you can start class three moving to class two and then ultimately to class one where we're looking at the race leader Jake McAleer who's taller a little bit of a gap now on Kevin Harrison still in third place and detuned Chris Dyer it's looking racy here though in the cable as they go on to the last lap and pulls to the outside line Andy to looking for his first outright podium and a good battle on for third place let's have a look at how that pans out now Chris Dyer goes deep into the corner and gets his nose in front but once make contact he came across the front of Andy tone well he's got his nose in front there might have been contact he was very tight on to aunty Tunes car as they went round Red Gate but it is Jake McAleer out front there is a second place ban Kevin Harrison Kevi will wind up behind mark McLeroy the champion detune is going to pass mark McAleer in the championship standings I think to take fifth position so Chris Dyer gets going again and Chris is still in fourth place so he hasn't actually lost a place aside from the fact that he got his nose in front of Andy tuning the number four car that's the number three Strasser car of Ross Morris set to confirm second place overall in the championship and the win in class two but Jake McAleer is coming through Jake will be fourth overall in the championship and we'll take another win ahead of Kevin Harrison as they come out of the chicane and the season is complete for him it is another win for Jake McAleer Kevin Harrison finishes with t2 third position of first podium for Andy tun congratulations to him a class three runners coming through as well and it's Scott Adams who's won class three meanwhile class two once again headed by James Coleman who's going to make it a double in class two a super season for him and he will no doubt and I hope he back for next year to come for class to honors and maybe even the overall championship Ross Morris second in class two wraps up the championship and then third position in class two will go the way of Toby Barlow in the Marty Cleary car that we just saw [Music] confirmation of the result Jake McAleer wins from Kevin Harrison and Andy - Chris dive forth good recovery make Wilkins fifth from Simon Clark the new champion and James Coburn we lost two from Ross Morris and Toby Barlow tell Brett Kevin Molyneux McElhenney 12th full Seagrove angus artists Steve Freeman junior Mariscal hesitant plus three minutes Scott Adams and chop sawed off [Music] Jake congratulations a second race victory of 2019 a lot of time to do it what a way to do it as well rather a dramatic race that well yeah certainly a lot a lot of action in that race I'm just over the moon you know to get my second win at the end of season but a lot of bad luck this year none of it really our own fault so we come here we've got two podiums and somehow supposed to finish it was a lively race I think it's fair to say and you were able to pick your way through it but that's part of it isn't it it is yeah especially when you get among back markers but Morris and Mike were battling hard and we were just waiting for it to happen I just sat behind Jake and I thought was something's gonna happen soon and it did so we pick the pieces up rhyme with it phonetic rates at times and you were a bit fortuitous on some occasions but some good battling along the way as well had some good battles yeah to be fair it's been a long time coming I think gradually over the course of this this season we've just increased the pace and most to sort of you know keep with the frontrunners and be really happy and you'll just keep keep your head and we did a couple of nice plays on console people but he's so close between all of us out there that really you're just you're all running and looking for the next opportunity and trying to put people under pressure well James again a race victory and getting rather use of this aren't ways but a fantastic season once you did join the championship there's been no stopping you yeah it's been really good cars been solid all season you know we've had 201 Park we had a few few minor issues but apart from now it's been really consistent our worst finish has been a second place so I can't man about it oh well Ross congratulations we can now provisionally at least call you the champion in class two and second place we think about the overall points a great seasonal round and a nice way to end it as well yeah it's been a good year eventually get five wins this year yeah I've never got a win before this year so I'm pleased with that the pace in the second race seemed a bit stronger as well in race one you were kind of hanging on with the podium others this time you were solidly up there all race yeah change tires the tires are qualified on came off for race one and a pair of old tires went back on and that was just useless I decide to go back to the qualifying ties and that seemed great all right just the brakes going off towards the end holding me back well Toby congratulations another podium here to add to your list throughout the season considering you weren't here at start the year well you know it's great really dream dream first season to be honest with you know half season or whatever it was but you know Racing's been so closed so far it's been fantastic and so friendly great chapel chipping apart [Music] after the event Saima Clark's car was found to have a technical infringement no points for him here therefore Pete Morris wins the class 1 championship ahead of Chris Dyer with Jake McAleer next from Simon Clarke then Andy tune and mark McAleer onto class - Ross Morris champion from Kevin Volland new in second place then James Colvin Toby Barlow in fifth place ahead of Steve Freeman the overall championship was therefore won by Ross Morris from his dad Tate in second place Chris Dyer in third from Jake McAleer and Simon Clarke six was Kevin Molyneux from Andy tune and James Coleman Toby Barlow and Mark McAleer roughing up the top ten a great season tracing from us here thanks very much for your company and we look forward to you joining us once again in 2020 thanks for watching bye for now [Music]
