Hello everyone I hope you're doing well and Everything is great Tonight I came to the beautiful and historical city of Isfahan And as the first video of this city I want to show you Naqsh Jahan square Tonight, I want to take a video of this area all the streets and all the shops for you And I am sure we will have a very good night together I have two surprises at the end of the video one is that we ride in the cars inside the area and drive around the area with the car and the second is that I go to a restaurant that is above the Naqsh Jahan complex. And we have the whole area under our feet and we can take a look here from there As we are walking, let me tell you a series of historical and interesting explanations about Naqsh Jahan Square which is also known as Imam Square today But at the very beginning, let me say that Naqsh Jahan Square or Imam Square was called Shah Square before the revolution And it has had different names throughout history I will mention a few of them Asli (Main) Square, No (New) Square, Qatl (Murder) Square and Royal Square Now, what happened to the history here that it has become like this today? It goes back to the Safavid era when in the place of the square, that is, in the middle of the square that is where this area is It was a very beautiful garden The name of this garden was Naqsh Jahan It is interesting to know that the name Naqsh Jahan itself is taken from a city in Azerbaijan The current name of that city is Nakhchivan The most glorious period of the history of this square also goes back to the same era of Shah Abbas Safavi At the same time, Shah Abbas moved the capital from Qazvin to Isfahan He built many historical monuments in this square It caused a lot of economic and touristic growth here The newly built square was named New Square The length of Naqsh Jahan square is more than 500 meters and its width is almost 160 meters A total of 200 cells are placed on two floors around the square As I told you at the beginning, the peak of Naqsh Jahan square goes back to the era of the Safavid kings But during the time of the last Safavid kings Shah Suleiman and Shah Sultan Hossein Naqsh Jahan square was slowly losing its glory The flowing waters that were moving in the rivers here began to dry up and disappear This process of destruction increased during Ashraf Afghan's attack on Isfahan And it continued until the Qajar period, that is, during the Qajar period most of the mansions that were built in this area were destroyed But during the reign of Pahlavi I, Reza Khan started to restore historical monuments and completely reconstructed the surrounding cells and economic prosperity returned to Naqsh Jahan market During the time of Reza Khan, this square was registered in the list of historical monuments of Iran From that time until today, the precious historical heritage of this square is being preserved and protected Now Naqsh Jahan square itself is interesting to know that it has 4 very important historical places One of them is the Abbasid Grand Mosque or the Imamah Mosque which is the most important historical mosque remaining from the Safavid period The second building is the Ali Qapu building which is located on the west side of Naqsh Jahan Square It has 6 floors and a total of 53 rooms for rest But Ali Qapu mansion has two or three very interesting features One of them is the very interesting beautiful decorations of the floors The second is the reflection of your voice at the entrance of the palace And the third is the very large and beautiful reception hall Now we will leave the Aali Qapu mansion And the third place is Sheikh Lotfollah mosque Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is one of the most beautiful historical mosques in the world And this is a very interesting point This mosque was built by the order of Shah Abbas I and for the exclusive use of the Shah Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is located in the east of Naqsh Jahan Square But again, as usual during the Qajar rule A lot of damage was done to the main building and decorations of the mosque But Reza Shah Pahlavi rebuilt it And it is still used today The construction of the 32-meter dome of this mosque took about 17 years Which I think is a significant number The fourth historical building is Sardar Qaisarieh on the north side of Naqsh Jahan square which is the entrance gate to the traditional market of Isfahan Well, I don't want to talk anymore I tried to give a series of explanations Anyway, the historical place needs a series of explanations I hope you like my video If you like this video, be sure to like and comment And hit that subscribe button Wait for another video from the city of Isfahan Let's go to have a good night together
