Early Autumn days in Seoul | aesthetic cafes, everything I ate, omakase, Hangang picnic | Korea VLOG
Hi from Seoul :) today we’re in Seongsu checking out some cafes first stop is this pie shop this shop has a bunch of classic and seasonal pies but I’m here specifically for the pumpkin pie I might need to come back to try out more the shop gave a feeling of being in a cafe overseas mentally I’m already in Autumn but it’s still around 26 degrees in Seoul so I’m just pretending it’s autumn today and enjoy some reading with a pumpkin pie currently reading ‘Half a soul’ black coffee with something sweet goes so well together I thoroughly enjoyed the cake time to shop around Seongsu there’s always some new pop up store here as well as the trendiest shops I guess everyones getting ready for halloween found this Dubai chocolate mochi I’ve been wanting to try this shops usually famous for their fruit mochi I’ll try it when I get home I wanted to check out one more cafe before heading home I had enough coffee for the day but found this chai shop I think this is as authentic as you can get chai in Korea the whole store smells of warm spices the store had the most calm atmosphere I also wanted my house smelling cozy Palo santo has a woody citrus scent also wanted to bring out my oil diffuser for those who remember I got this on my trip in Japan love that it looks like a little house I like to use it with this essential oil from Muji I’m excited to finally try the Dubai chocolate I can see why everyone was obsessed with it I regret only buying one I’m also deeply invested in ‘Culinary class wars’ we’re in Bomun today this area surprisingly has a lot of small local cafes all the cafes here seems so unique you can really see the owners tastes got a oat milk flat white getting some work done I don’t know if it’s the changing seasons, but my motivation has been a bit low recently I find that getting out of the house and a change of scenery often helps finished going through all my emails! Which is a good start time for some lunch the weathers actually a little bit chilly today there are so many cafes all along this road will have to come back again to check them out Korean soups are the best for cold seasons and always comes with a bunch of sides ordered the dried cabbage beef soup this cafe also had such a unique design it’s built in this old hanok house and right in the middle they had this outdoor garden I got the tea and fruit ice cream comes with red beans, fruits and mochi and a random grape the playlist at the store was such a vibe I think it would be a perfect place to enjoy a rainy day here are some song I took from their playlist at the start of each week I like to do the groceries and decide on what to eat for the week I try to get any fresh produce from the local veggie store I was craving a meat pie the other day so I decided to make a Shepherd's pie firstly preparing the mashed potatos the water needs to be well salted while that cooks i’ll prepare the other vegetables the recipe usually uses peas but I much prefer green beans once the onions soften I’m adding in some minced beef and my green beans some tomato puree chicken stock splash of red wine and some flour to thicken the sauce for the mashed potatoes I’m adding in some butter salt, garlic powder, grated cheese and some milk and rest is just assembling the meat already smell good to eat but I’m sure it will be better after it’s baked scratching the surface to it get more golden and last sprinkle of cheese and then I baked it for 20 mins until it got this nice golden colour this was such a good hearty dinner the weathers so nice I had to leave the house I found this cool library that I wanted to check out but it was honestly a bit hard to find finally found the entrance it’s literally under the bridge the library has the best view of the river such a nice place to have a chill day and the floor is made from glass so you can see right down to the river since it’s a library they only had a small selection of drinks but I think it’s a great place to work or study and enjoy this view I’m meeting up with a friend for dinner treating ourselves to some sushi omakase today starting off with some mushroom chawamushi the chef was so nice and explained all the dishes to us but I actually don’t know the names of the fish in Korean but each dish was carefully prepared in front of you and the food was of course really good too this was my favourite slice apparently it’s uni season right now and the last piece and ending with a basil sorbet using all my left overs for breakfast going to make a omelette and a cucumber cream cheese bagel this might seem simple but so good together adding a bit of salt breakfast ready this is creamy and refreshing at the same time checking out this cafe bar today they had some interesting coffees on the menu actually never seen this way of coffee brewing before apparently this way of brewing removes the contact with air resulting in a richer aroma and taste we also got the affogato it was kind of like coffee flavoured sago the coffee was really smooth and aromatic it’s perfect picnic weather today we’re at Banpo Hangang river I think everyone else had the same idea getting some fried chicken and beer but the order ended up taking more than a hour... seeing the sunset from the chicken store secured the goods still got to see a little bit of the sunset the weather was really perfect for sitting outside but the chicken was totally worth the wait thanks for watching see you in the next video :)
