Now let's imagine that here as it comes back there is still a ball joint in the middle, so when I push it forward then it will move the linkage backwards, ergo I think, but correct me if I'm wrong, there are the odd gears backwards 1 3 3 and the reverse gear and when it is fully in, right then I pull it backwards and then the even gears are 2 4 6 and when it is in the middle position so I pull it back a little, and in the middle position it is neutral as it moves like this and then correspondingly to the left comes the one, two , in the middle three four, to the right five sixe and that if I pull it well to the left strongly then the reverse will be there. So now it's like this now it's basically neutral in this position we have to put it back in its place like this and if there's no gear linkage in it there's no problem because it won't spin So theoretically we're good this way there's another small thing missing from the engine this is the valve for the secondary air pump it is better to install this valve when the engine is outside there is its place because if the engine is already inside there is not really enough space for it the threaded rods are also missing for installation here are the threaded rods and the nuts, I will put them on by screwing two of these small nuts onto them of course they have to be screwed in enough so another nut can be put on it from the outside We will have to pay attention to this, and a small thread locker and that's it But what is this secondary air system actually for? The two key elements of the system are the secondary air pump and the secondary air valve the air pump driven by the electric motor, aka vacuum cleaner provides the secondary air which enables the post-oxidation process the secondary air valve has the task of preventing the harmful backflow of exhaust gases into the pump, and air gets into the exhaust after the cold start phase but despite the fact that the secondary air system is only active for a short time, after a cold start it still significantly reduces the emission of harmful substances, and the extra heat reduces the warm-up time of the cats since the system doesn't really have any other task apart from reducing the emission value as soon as possible, that's why quite a lot of people delete it in order to have less possible source of error Well, the engine is inside, I threw in two of these small bad ones from the engine supports just because for something to hold the engine actually it only needs that long for it to be inside until we finish with the wiring So far so good, now I'm going down to the bottom and then I'll also put the gearbox bracket on, then then this part is ready for now the fuel piping can come and the fuel tank I was about to put the steering gear back on when I noticed a small problem Yes, yes 5 screws are missing from the oil sump But who took it out and why at all I have no idea why it is missing from there I don't even know how did this engine work like that at all? Now this is going to get a little interesting this way Anyway, I'll try to replace it with my own screws I have a bunch of them I hope it will be of this length and hardness and then now the first thing that needs to be replaced is this I'm not at all calm but unfortunately I can't do anything more now so I'll continue with the fuel piping True that it would have been better to put in the gas tank or would have been easier to put it in if the rear axle is not up, but if it doesn't work with thinking then it will work with force. Right? there are only two things left today, one the ABS unit this was the old one and this is the new one from the m3 its serial number ends in 249 and 250 it won't work with the facelift only with the m3 or if you want the small M sport button or the M-Track button from the steering wheel then the competition package or the CSL ABS unit will need Otherwise it won't work from the steering wheel , only if the DSC button is programmed to it, for example and the other thing that still needs to be replaced is the speed sensor everything is Plug and Play I just screw it on and I'm done and the speed sensor is located here under the driver's seat I have to screw there a connector on it... and that's it
