to build an M3 Touring and to build a not existing M3 Touring quite risky because it's not just bigger rims and a lowering people have a lot of questions and doubts in their heads will the parts fit or only partially , or is there something that needs to be modified or maybe something that is not originally on the Touring body but will be needed and in the meantime it is still necessary to decide whether only the engine suspension should be replaced or perhaps the exhaust as well do I want an M3 interior I want a sleeper or should we go for the full M3 picture and the chassis should also be an M3 unfortunately the bad news is that everyone has to decide for themselves well in this case I am in the lucky position that since I am building her for myself I am building on the way I want it and I want the whole thing so here is the almost complete M3 bodykit some parts are missing from the full set the front rear fender liners are still missing, for example but let's look at where to put them let's start with the rear, it will be a little easier to go through it roughly these things will be needed for the rear but I'm telling you there are still a few parts that will be needed but but about those later you'll need a rear bumper from the M3 first, right? and I'm already a little ahead with this you see here the opening for the trunk door has been cut out this is necessary so that when we put it on the door can be closed and this can be done properly if we cut out the part of the door from the M3 bumper then the same part must also be cut from the basic Touring bumper and welded in here I will also show this in the following if you want to install the M3 exhaust as well, you will need this M3 trunk floor plate which is necessary because this outer part here is completely straight, right? The exhaust will go under it, and it won't fit with the regular big full spare wheel compartment and you also need the two rear fenders that is obvious and this will be needed because of the wide M3 arches and this will fit with the M3 bumper corner but let's see how it will look on the car it didn't take long to throw it up, I just held it with a single screw on both sides so we could roughly see how does it fit together because, since the top has already been cut off, it doesn't hold properly that's why it's a bit wobbly, although you can still see the point why will you need the wide fender for the M3 bumper and why will need the cut-out from the Touring bumper under the trunk door the exhaust will now also have room so you can see a little better why this floor plate is still needed this is how the exhaust will fit here with the full spare wheel no chance, but it will be good this way and here at the junction of the fender and the bumper you can see why the M3 fenders are needed this way it will be awesome let say that the rear is ready let's go a little closer to the front we have two side skirts these are a little bit different from the M-tech even more a little different from the regular factory side skirts and regardless of the fact that it is from a Coupe and a few mm shorter than the factory one (Touring) but regardless it will go on, you have to pay attention to these the white clips these have to be replaced with black ones you will need such black patents from the factory M3 this will fit in the same way but you have to pay attention to one thing I mean there is one thing that can be a bit confusing and that is that it is a little different than the Sedan or Touring and it will pull down the rear corner a little because these mounting points do not fit perfectly they can be fitted in its place it goes up nicely it will pull it down a little bit but I don't think it will be that bad let's move a little closer to the front again we want to put the M3 mirrors on the tuning as well, but basically it won't fit because of the coupe mirror bases they look completely different and have a different mounting part than the Touring, so there are some two versions, one is that some modifications will be needed to the mirror base itself and to the door to the small triangle but if you have a little patience, and you want this mirror base then I am currently working on a mirror base which will fit inside on Touring and the outside is compatible with M3 mirror this is still in progress, I hope it will be available soon and this can also be used, then there is no need to modify it either mirror base nor the door, but you just have to replace it the M3 mirror base and you can put it on but if you don't want to wait for this mirror base but want to convert the factory M3 mirror then I will put a link in the description for you where you can find proper description of how to do this let's say that in theory the rear is already installed the side skirts are installed the mirrors are installed only the front is left you will see this is the simplest part of the chassis simplifying the story basically the complete M3 frontend will fit on the Touring, the engineers designed this very well the only thing that won't fit are the two front fenders, because the coupe fenders are a little bit longer than the Touring fenders, so you can't put them on properly, therefore, you have 2 options, one of which is to cut the factory metal M3 fender and the Touring fender, cut it apart and weld it together or you can use these custom carbon fenders it's so damn heavy 700-gram story that doesn't rust at all and it is P&P this is also made for the Coupe side markers, coupe headlights so P&P with the front of the M3 Coupe it will go up because basically if you install the carbon support on the slam panel, the bumper will pop nicely onto these little pins you don't even need to screw anything else you can install the coupe headlights it will also fit on the slam panel and you just have to install the hood next to it and the two modified fenders and everything will fit nicely in case if you didn't have an M-tech front bumper then you will need two more brackets to hold the corner of the bumper and you will also need the fender liners front and back which are not on the picture now but they are there somewhere in the attic so those we will also put it up at the end but now let's finally see what will this whole thing look like here on the front of the Touring The hood the slam panel the support the small brackets for the headlights and for the bumper have also already been installed let's see how it closes how much better it looks the small powerdome in the middle looks pretty good ok, we're done so far, so now I think we should continue with the fenders if we screw up the carbon fender here then the bottom will be out a little like this but as I push it in and then here above and below here I fix at three points then it will fit nicely well, the bumper isn't on it yet, but how gorgeous it looks, isn't it? it's true that the gaps and the lights are still and the hood also isn't completely perfect either the gap is a little bigger on this side the gap is a little narrower here it still needs to be adjusted at the top it's still not screwed together but still very good well then there is only one thing remaining to put on the bumper what progress was made today it looks like a completely different car basically except for the body work we succesfully changed the outfit of this little Touring the rear bumper was installed and the entire the front too it's true I was sweating it out in the 100,000 degrees in the hot sun but in the end I just managed to put it together I think it turned out well but look how good it is well it's huge it looks incredible with this front and the bumper now don't look at that the rear fender isn't on it yet and the mirrors aren't up but let's imagine and it's okay that it has 68 different colors but let's imagine one color and everything is on it, and it's genius a lot of work still awaits us and when I say that there is still a lot of work ahead of us then I mean incredibly lot of work still awaits us but I am also a little step ahead because I threw in a battery and it probably won't be a big surprise since it originally had a xenon headlight but here it is one small bulb is missing it is in on the left side but it is missing on the right side but this doesn't matter yet at least we are ahead with so many small details but now as we have reached this point and you still have not subscribed then press quickly subscribe button and turn on the notifications because from here on it will be even more interesting I have to install this And if it is inside the tank is also installed the entire fuel system is installed and everything then comes the wiring and then hopefully it will start well I have to play with these gaps a little more in order to align everything nicely so if something still needs to be adjusted a bit or expanded a bit in one of mounting points then that can be done before painting really everything has to fit together nicely because I don't think anyone likes surprises after painting but this we will only see in the next video until then, if you liked it, please give it a like and subscribe to the channel and we'll see you in the next video Alex, watch the next episode too because I'll show you how this carbon fender will fit properly here or even on your Touring
