This is amazing I had traveled in a train at Thailand long back It was like this. Vietnam train toilet was separate but here it is like this. They have a good storage space on top You can see a small monitor there Steps for climbing up Nice wide beds You have a cupboard also in here You have a storage space and hangers to hang your clothes 2 storage spaces on top too If you pull down the blinds, you wont have to face light This is an overnight train. Such a train runs at Guangzhou Beijing route If you are going to Beijing, you can take it You have slippers in here This is just like a hotel room. You have 2 pairs of slippers, attatched bathroom with hot water I loved it He is going to have the fish we bought You have a dustbin in here. A carpet laid on the floor It is very neat I liked this a lot.
We have traveled in many trains, but this is one kind of an experience If you are just 2, you can book a cabin like this You can travel comfortably. There are cabins even for 4 You can book a cabin of 4 for 3 too. Just book an extra ticket showing a passport number You will get a whole cabin for yourself They wont give that seat to another person if it is empty That is also an option you have here Can see smoke coming out of the train there on top. Awesome restaurant Look how beautiful the interior is So good. They have bought a whole supermarket. Few young boys sitting here They are from Kashgar They have trolley supply too It is crowded here. So many people to have food and buy things They have bought many things from a supermarket and sitting here and having it Lot of things in this trolley including whiskey and wine too It is a bit expensive, but you have everything Bread, cup noodles which is the cheapest here Variety drinks He is here to sell and many are buying many things I too bought a pack of peanuts Peanuts with Sichuan pepper This is expensive but tasty too Shall tell you the rate 9000/head 900 RNB 18000 for two of us to travel in this train 1500km to cover in this 12.5hrs. It is an overnight journey
We should have taken this kind of a train from Tibet Those 2-3 days train journey Restaurant has become very crowded now Lot of people having food here Even the staffs are having food. All of them are train hostesses Staffs and all are very friendly All are having food I am in the middle of two coaches. You have a smoking compartment here People can stand here and smoke. Chinese smoke a lot of cigarettes They have the facilitites to smoke cigarettes too What all facilities do they have in here We brushed our teeth and changed our dress in the toilet in our cabin. Going to bed now. I loved this The restaurant was awesome. The train is going in a good minimal speed.

Though Beijing time zone is followed everywhere, The sun is not yet out here We are going next to India It is 2.5hrs different in time zone But it will become late by the time the sun is out Some announcement happening We have reached Kashgar railway station They have reached 10 minutes earlier It should have been late when you get such conveniences in the train It is just 750km from Kashgar railway station to Islamabad We cannot get into India from China None of the borders are open. This is our railway station building It is a normal railways station It is not a kind of railway station we usually see Only slow trains come here. High speed trains dont come here They have high speed trains to Urumqi They dont have high speed trains to Tibet and this side But they are planning to bring all kinds of changes in networks The restaurant in the train They had gone to bed at 12 midnight.
It was an amazing experience A train full of people. All boarded from Urumqi and got down at Kashgar No stop in between People got in from Urumqi and got down at Kashgar We got out of the railway station Lot of taxi drivers here It is 8.15am. Sunrise here is at 9.15am See the change after we moved 1500km from Urumqi Sunrise is at 9.15am Sun sets at 8pm It is China. They follow Beijing time zone But the location change is like this. Not yet morning here This is Kashgar railway station.
They call it Kashi Though it is Kashgar. They call it Kashi Like we say Varanasi Kashi If we go down there, we will get taxis is what they wrote We have booked a hotel for today but doubtful if they would give it at 8.30am You will have to pay extra. I think the taxi driver doesn't know Chinese too I see that there are people who dont know to speak Chinese here There would be people who dont know to read Chinese too People here speak more in Uyghur language The taxis here make you feel like you are in a jail. What you see in front is Kashgar old city or ancient city It looks like Jaisalmer fort. It is something like that. This place plays an important role in silk route You get excellent food here and lots to see too When we went to have a bath, there wasn't hot water. When I enquired, they said they are checking on it. Finally I took a bath in what was there.

Not as cold as Urumqi Just slightly cold We are standing just next to India 500km from here and we are in India We are in search of food in the morning Lot of shops for tourists but couldnt find any restaurants Can see the ancient town there. We have been seeing Xinjiang food culture at many places last few days It is different at each area Food here is different from what we saw at Urumqi Shops are just opening though it is 7pm I think people come here at night You get pilav everywhere at Xinjiang. I have seen this only here Pigeon soup. I had not seen it in Urumqi I think we will get to see more variety food as we explore the villages You dont find any wow or stunning things here like in China At the same time, you have the modern phase of Kashgar too like in Urumqi All the places are modern. You dont find any village life anywhere All the places are developing to cities
