today's webinar is being recorded and will be available on our website within two to four weeks um today if you have any questions you that come up while we're presenting we will have time for five minutes of verbal questions in the middle of the presentation and we're also going to have time for questions at the end um today's webinar is set up for just verbal questions so when we have time for those questions you'll be able to meet yourself and ask those questions then so that we can answer them in real time in addition to that we also will have breakout rooms at the end of the the webinar for you to be able to meet with Mobility providers as well and be able to ask them questions and be able to get to know them more so with that we do have a lot to cover today so thank you for joining us and let's get started all right so my name is Katie Smith and I am a program administrative team member from Cal start and I'm here with my colleague Sarah Wang from share juice mobility center and we are both excited to be here today and share more about the CMO program so the CMO uh voucher pilot program is administered through the California air resources board and our program administrative team which includes Cal start Civic well and shared use mobility center and before we get started I first like to hear from you what type of organization you are representing today we are going to pop a poll up on the screen in just a moment and let us know the type of organization that you represent and we'll give you all just a few moments to respond we're getting a lot of responses so we're just wait a couple more moments to see if anyone else needs to respond all right so um it looks like we have a diverse group here today um folks from government agencies tribal Transit non-profit we have a large group from the other category um like I mentioned we do have some Mobility providers in attendance as well so they might also um be falling under the other category um that's great to see thank you all for joining us today all right so I'm going to keep going here so for the agenda um we're first going to provide an overview of the CMO program where we will introduce the clean Mobility provider directory what that is and how you can use that to support your project or then also provide some guiding points on building Partnerships with Mobility providers and developing your budget and then we're going to open up the floor for Mobility providers to be able to do introduce themselves and their services and products and then at the end as I mentioned we will have breakout rooms set up for each of the mobility providers presenting today for you to be able to pop in learn more about them and how they can possibly fit into your proposed project project as well thank you so let's first start with an overview of the CMO program the CMO program aims to help under-resourced communities start their own clean Mobility projects that meet their community's needs by providing financial and Community Building support and this program was created out of an effort to address barriers to clean Transportation access for low-income and disadvantaged California communities and these were barriers identified in the Senate Bill 350 on barrier study that was commissioned by the California energy Commission and the goals of this program are to increase Mobility options for low-income and disadvantaged communities and tribal communities it provides Community Driven solutions that inform State projects through um informed State projects while advancing Workforce Development and clean transportation and expanding zero emission vehicle equity and access without the high cost of ownership it increases access to clean Mobility options that are safe reliable and affordable to communities throughout California and it improves air quality by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and pollutants and one of the main assets of our program is that we offer free full cycle technical assistance throughout the entire program this is from pre-application assistance to and through project planning and implementation and CMOS individualized technical assistance has been well utilized by many applicants and shown to be effective in addition to our trainings and webinars we also provide technical assistance by email phone call or online form system weekly office hours and information sessions we also provide tribal technical assistance and engagement and we also have tools and guides located on our website to help with conducting needs assessments and Mobility projects essentially our technical assistance team is here to help guide you as you create the best possible product or project for your community and if you are interested in receiving foreign and as I mentioned today's webinar is part of a series of webinars that we are hosting to help educate and inform those applying for window to voucher funding here on the slide are our past events all right so next I'm going to introduce the clean Mobility provider directory and this is an informational resource to support you as you develop your project and and identify Mobility Partners to work with on your on your team so before we get started I first want to hear from you what um if you have a Mobility partner in mind or where you are in the process we're gonna post a a poll up on the screen and you can let us know you know if you have a partner already in mind or if you're in the process of working with one of our identifying one or give you all a moment to respond here all right we'll just give a few more moments all right so it looks like you know a lot of people are um there's a variety of folks and all sorts of you know different parts of the process um some have already partnered and are ready to go some are still looking and defining their project so you know that's really great to hear and I'm glad that you all are here today I think that this presentation will help um just guide you along this path and the directory can be a great tool as you continue to develop and identify those Mobility Partners in your project all right so let's keep going here all right so what is the clean Mobility provider directory the directory is a resource to connect to connect and facilitate Partnerships between applicants and professional Mobility providers interested in joining Mobility project teams and in the directory you will find Mobility providers who are supplying either parts of or all the elements of a Mobility operational service and you will also find their background information and contact information to facilitate communication and information sharing the goal of the directory is to essentially support lead applicants and and awardees and identifying providers who are suitable for their community in a streamlined and timely manner one thing I do want to note here though is that Mobility providers who are listed in the directory are voluntary and if the provider you partner with on your product and the mobility provider that you partner with on your project is not restricted to just these in the directory the directory is just a resource and starting point for you as you um develop your project and and start looking into Mobility providers to work with so to be included in a directory Mobility providers have responded to a request for information to um that our team released for Mobility providers to be able to share their information for us to include in the directory in addition the providers have also met the following requirements here on the screen which are that they are registered to conduct business in California they are an active and good standing with the California Secretary of State and they also have at least one year of experience providing the mobility service that corresponds to the type of service or product that they provide again just as a reminder these are requirements that Mobility providers have meant to be in the directory but any Mobility provider May participate in your Mobility project regardless of their inclusion in the directory and meeting these requirements so in the directory you will see that the organizations listed are organized into four different categories based on the type of services and products that they offer and these following categories are Mobility operators software providers vehicle suppliers and infrastructure suppliers and I'm now going to go into more detail about what each of these categories entail in the following slides the first are Mobility operators and these are entities that lead a Mobility Services development implementation and operations so this includes the backend systems for user databases and payment platforms as well as the front-facing systems for maintaining your Fleet and day-to-day operations Samo eligible project models and services that Mobility operators can service are car share Bike Share and scooter share carpool and vanpool microtransit or Innovative Transit fix route Transit and also ride on demand the next uh category are software providers and these are entities that supply and maintain software applications and support of your Mobility service so types of software applications are software for payment systems as well as multimodal payment platforms also Mobility platforms independent of a Mobility provider's full service system analytical systems for evaluation and system organization reservation and on-demand ride platforms trip planning platforms Mobility on demand routing and dispatch systems and also Mobility as a service platforms and these are just examples um that we have provided it's not limited to just these on the screen the next tier is vehicle suppliers and these are entities that manufacture sell and Supply Mobility fleets for your project so CMO eligible um vehicle Technologies and classes include electric vehicles neighborhood electric vehicles plug-in hybrid technology for vehicles with 60 capacity or more light duty passenger vehicles medium duty Vans and shuttle buses and also bicycles e-bikes and scooters and the last category here are infrastructure suppliers and these are entities who sell install and maintain infrastructure um for vehicle charging or fueling uh vehicle and Equipment storage right-of-way improvements and other safety equipment and CMO eligible infrastructure includes but is not limited to electric vehicle service equipment hydrogen fueling stations solar solar photovolactic equipment that's qualified under the Go Solar California campaign and then also bicycles e-scooters and scooter infrastructure and safety improvements all right and so those are the four categories in the directory um one thing I also want to mention here is that the directory is also a tool to help you identify an experienced partner for your Mobility project team as required by the IM each Mobility project voucher team must include an organization or partner with at least one year of experience operating the type of Mobility service that you are proposing for your project and we refer to this role as an experienced partner and this partner must be a Mobility operator however um the experienced partner can either function as your lead Mobility operator who is helping lead the development implementation and operations of your Mobility service or they can serve as a project technical advisor where they provide technical support on the project development implementation and operations um one other thing I want to add here is that you can either choose to include an experienced partner on your application at the time of submittal or you can choose to contract with a an experienced partner within three months of executing your voucher so there's you know if you do need a little bit more time finding that experienced partner that's another option and also the directory well it does include Mobility operators that meet the experienced partner requirement again if you want to work with Mobility operators who aren't listed in the directory um that is also eligible as well great so now I'm going to show you all where you can find the clean Mobility provider directory so we're currently in the process of updating our directory and we'll have a new one available next week but for now we have the previous 2.0 version available as a PDF document

once the new one is available you can go to the CMO website and hover over resources where you can see the drop down that shows Mobility provider directory once you click on the button you'll be directed to the updated provider directory next week so next slide once you're directed to the new web page you'll see four different categories of providers where you can click on the button to jump down to that portion of the web page or you can scroll down to see the profiles of each organization and then we have an overview of the directory and under each profile we have linked each organization's website what services they provide the contact information the short summary of the organization and a link to download a PDF of a longer profile if you want to read more about the organization foreign so the clean Mobility provider directory includes all of the organizations shown here and some of them are attending the webinar today to talk more about their services and what they have to offer just as a reminder as Cutie mentioned the providers listed here do not signify an endorsement from carp or the CMO team and you can also work with organizations that have met the CMO requirements that aren't listed here great before moving on to our next section does anyone have any questions about what we have presented so far feel free to raise your hand or unmute yourself and ask your questions and remember to State your full name and your organization foreign but I don't hear a question let me see all right I don't see any raised hands um or any questions I think we can move on and then from there I think we can go into the provider presentations great so I guess moving on to this next section I'll be going over some guidance on how you all can as prospective applicants approach your Mobility Partnerships and your budget so for this last poll we wanted to ask what types of Mobility service models that you all are looking for I think it looks like a good kind of mix of different types of service models that you all are looking for um and that's kind of exciting to hear so I think we can um once we get enough results I can share that back with you all great so next slide so prior to selecting which Mobility providers you'll partner with it is important to consider certain questions regarding your project your community needs and what role you want to play in your project as you listen to the information shared by the providers later in our webinar and while you're connecting with them during the breakout room sessions please consider the following questions what types of Mobility Services best address your community Mobility needs if you have one or more years of experience operating your proposed service model what are your priorities and finding availability service provider but providers serve your area and are willing to serve your community what types of support you'll need and what aspects of the project do you want to lead and then some other things to consider include payment solution include I guess what you value when it comes to affordability for your organization or for your users what level of reliability you need for your Mobility Services and what kind of accessibility is important to the community you're serving you'll likely want your application platforms and vehicles to be accessible and safe for all types of users and then additional considerations include Payment Solutions such as having services for those who are under banked and unbanked for those who don't have mobile services devices such as smartphones or a tablet and serving those who don't have the ability to drive or do not own a driver's license you may also want to consider what level experience the mobility provider has working with underserved communities especially if you have a specific community in mind for your project and what levels of experience you have conducting Outreach and marketing to such communities um so here we have listed some of the Mobility Services that our Mobility providers can help to meet um I won't be be reading them off but do consider which which of these Services you're looking for when it comes to what will support your project and then when it comes to Partnerships um some cmo-funded projects will have some component of a business to government B to G contract this occurs when a Mobility provide Mobility operator is contracted with a government agency to provide Mobility Services and is often priced through a fee-for-service contract to fund Transit operations this means the provider will provide a product or service for the agency and the cost of that contract will include operation costs plus the fixed rate a fear profit for the contractor in relation to a specific level of service and another approach is a business to Consumer b2c contract which allows individuals to pay for the services directly this means the operations of the Mobility Services are mostly reliant on user fees and this approach the operator does assume a greater risk and reward most CMS projects will have some component of a b2g and some component of a b2c model and then as previously mentioned beside having a Mobility operator who joins the team as the partner who is operating and running the mobility service it is possible to have a Mobility operator a different role on the team such as a technical advisor so the benefits of this approach is having an experienced partner who can provide technical expertise and knowledge while the Project Lead can own the vehicles operate lead the operations of the services and manage other components if the project leads such as a transient agency already has experience operating a proposed Mobility service such as a bike share service in a different neighborhood than the proposed project area they can serve as an experienced partner and this approach can also allow local community-based organizations to take the lead in operating and implementing Services of the Project Lead or government agency Services as serves as the experienced partner as a technical advisor and then lastly it's important to consider the financial sustainability of your project so if you want to think about what will be your core sources of funding and revenue which will likely include voucher funding from CML any partner cost sharing and other resource contributions you can get from Project Partners or project supporters user fees and other Public Funding such as state grants and local tax revenue there are also other sources of revenue that can help supplement core funding such as having third-party brand sponsorship advertisement honor in your vehicles or within your Mobility app platform or having major employers subsidizing commute programs that help their employees cmfns will be spread across three years of operations with an additional year of operation that must include external funding so a commitment to operate the services for many years is a key aspect to the financial sustainability of your project um again just as the disclaimer the following slides I guess won't reflect the views and this will be kind of our um uh our Mobility providers so I'll be turning things over to Katie to introduce kind of the different organizations as they're presenting and walking through um going through kind of the services that they provide yeah thank you Sarah yep so in just a moment we'll be introducing Mobility providers to share more about themselves um just to uh keep on track of time please keep your presentations to about two minutes and then if anyone has any questions for the mobility providers you will have time in the breakout rooms to be able to ask them questions as well all right so next um first up is circuit thanks Katie can you can you hear me yes we can hear you great in the tear you can go to the next slide for them please perfect thank you everyone and then thanks to the CMO team for organizing this I'll keep this presentation short just a couple slides here about circuit um and then please feel free to reach out I've got my email address there and we're in the directory uh with with more information so we'd love to chat with anyone here today who's interested in in partnering on a an application together so circuit um we're an on-demand microtransit Community Transit um company we've been around for for quite a while on 10 years with the focus and Southern California New York and South Florida got 30 plus cities that we've worked with um our next slide which I'll get to in a minute we'll show a bit more about our Chula Vista program which was funded from the last round of CMO um that we're really proud of and this has been a great success so far we've also got a couple exciting programs coming out this coming online this year in DC in New York so we're excited about um continuing to grow these other ways of getting getting people around um so what do we do we're micro Transit we're TurnKey solution is how we like to describe ourselves you know we own the vehicles Insurance all the data back-end um things that you'll see listed here we have an app we've always been fully electric 100 electric vehicles um you can see on the bottom right here the the neighborhood electric vehicles we use in a lot of our programs um love love those but we also have um a few other vehicle options that we've used you can see the the Chula Vista band there as well as some electric sedans that we've used um so just making sure I cover everything in the services here everything from the app to the vehicles to all W-2 drivers all the data and Analysis um we partner with cities to to fine-tune the programs to make sure that they're meeting all the needs that we have together and then we also do um generally rides are free for the community but we have done fairs in some programs so that's an option depending on on the goals and budget as well as selling third-party ads to help subsidize and then Equity is core of course to our goals and the goals of this program so I wanted to call Community engagement multilingual app unbank non-smartphone access and Ada accessibility is those are all things we've done and if you could switch to the next slide please um slideshows first on the right just some of the different Vehicles we've used um including in this Chula Vista program that launched over the summer um this the goals of this program are actually for seniors so this at least at first is restricted to those who are 55 and up um we have six vehicles in this program they're supplemented with some other funding I believe so that's six uh six Vehicles total five sedans and one of the Ada accessible bands um so this has been been really popular so far we're really proud of this program and and have it up and running um you can see 1300 plus monthly rides a really low wait time and high rating and we've been really proud of this partnership and excited to keep you know the per ride costs really low and have a really effective program so I think I'm probably running up on my my two minutes so I'll stop it there but but really interested in growing in this area and would love to hear from anyone either in the breakout sessions or or please feel free to reach out my emails on the slides here and in that directory so thank you thank you Perry for sharing that um we next have bird joining us today thank you Katie I'll take a bird for our team here um hi everybody I'm Michael cavato I'm director of Revenue and Partnerships over at bird with me today is my colleague Andrea korp who will be happy to answer some additional questions during the breakout groups next slide please perfect for those unfamiliar we are a shared electric vehicle company founded one back please founded uh in 2017 as the first shared electric scooter company since then we have migrated to a wide range of new uh additional vehicle modalities we are currently operating in over 450 cities globally have partnered with other CMO awardees similarly to the previous provider circuit that you heard here we are also capable of supporting underbanked uh or unbanked individuals through prepaid vouchers and offer our app in over 30 different languages natively next slide please we primarily act as a first Last Mile Transportation solution effectively providing a public transportation Network in communities that might otherwise not have access to uh to those types of vehicles we work everywhere from rural California to large cities including the Los Angeles metro area are very unique operational model allows us to partner with CMO program awardee or CMO program considerance uh in terms of being able to provide vehicles that we provide the operational know-how all of the technological back end all the payment processing Etc that enables people to launch in essentially any uh any location within California we typically operate on a revenue share basis which means that any of the CMO program or CMO Grant awardees will still continue to take the the revenue that is generated from the rights to be able to invest back into their community happy to answer any additional questions during the breakout room appreciate everybody's time thank you Michael all right and next up is efo Ventures hi everybody I'm Sean flood I'm the co-founder of efov um excited to be here and more excited to have conversations in in the breakout rooms efov was created for one fundamental reason which was we believed that to bring Mobility systems to life in communities there was the need for a provider to cover the value chain in the four verticals which we believe are Hardware Mobility as a service technology and power we put together all of those divisions we operate both in the US and Europe under individual brands that allow for flexibility to bring systems uh like like these that we're talking about today to life if you mind hitting the next slide for me that would be great um so when we look at the value chain we have an offering that can be inclusive or individual depending on the needs of your communities and we do that through a variety of manners with uh proprietary and or licensed Hardware that we manufacture ourselves so that deployment can be a combination of doclists or hub-based systems subscription uh transportation for employee employee networks e-bike libraries they can be paired with buyer incentives which we feel are very important to drive the trend from single occupancy vehicles to e-bike use moving on to e-bike ownership and making that affordable or the utilization of neighborhood electric vehicles both for shared on demand or again a path to nav ownership we wrap all of that around proprietary technology that can be licensed and branded for your communities or system and the offering of charging infrastructure that allows for lighter touch more sustainable activation we believe that to be a valued partner in the space you need to provide customization sustainability uh and inclusion all of which are Paramount to efov and the last thing I'd say is to our fellow presenters where there could be holes in in offerings or needs to bring things to life collaboration in the mobility space is crucial to not only bring the system to life but to keep residents safe and utilizing these these vehicles in the future so excited to collaborate not only with the communities but the other providers to uh to change the way people move and navigate around our communities thanks for the chance to talk thank you Sean all right and next is green commuter good morning everyone this is Lorena Garcia from uh director of Grants and Partnerships at Green commuter um and so if you can do the the first slide thank you and we're having some slide issues so green commuter it's How We Roll we're disrupting mobility and commuting and we're saving money time in the planet next slide please so we're in minority oh minority and women-owned benefit Corporation focusing on improving air quality and reducing emissions um we're 100 zero emissions a fan pool car share on-demand micro Transit shuttle and Fleet Management provider we also provide through our Partnerships TurnKey from uh our vehicles but also from an infrastructure standpoint we deploy electric vehicles medium duty and below in traditionally disadvantaged communities where electric vehicles provide direct public health and environmental benefits um so I'm Lorena Garcia and we also have on the line um Naveed our vice president um unless he has anything else to say we're going to keep it short and sweet all right great thank you Lorena and next up is rideco Katie Sarah thank you for inviting us to participate uh my name is Todd Allen I'm the director of government uh and community relations with ryko next next slide please I want to introduce you to be joining me in the breakout today is my colleague Max blank who's on our business development team uh colleague Dave Bach who's our regional director down in Orange County was unable to join us today so I regret that but I want to introduce ourselves if you're not familiar with ryco we partner with over 15 public and Community Transportation providers across the state uh and in addition we partner with over 55 others across the country uh and in Canada but principally in in California we really focus on providing transparent uh Innovative sustainable technology that really focuses as I said on Equitable and a spontaneous Mobility so from our partners whether it's Los Angeles MTA uh to Milpitas across the state we tend to work as a partner identifying opportunities where we can look at service planning all the way up to implementing the service and marketing uh so it's successful for and based on the community needs as mentioned there we provide software directly to the agency we partner with Transportation providers such as those you're hearing from today and also other fellow technology enablers and next next cycling some of our partners you can see across the line here but I also want to point Omnitrans in San Bernardino who's a basically one of the round one uh CMO applicant awardees and we really focus on a number of different solutions providing Services whether it's in low dense low Mobility low dense areas underperforming bus routes again first mile Last Mile the services uh or Commuter or employee obviously focusing on underserved populations as well but Katie thank you again for your time and we look forward to speaking with uh with everyone further in the breakouts today thank you yeah thank you Todd all right next we have via hey everyone uh Brian Nelson with VA here um so be as a software company that really specializes in on-demand and dynamic transit services uh we work with governments Transit agencies cities of all sizes to really provide services that are uh more efficient more effective and ultimately more user-friendly um we got our start back in 2012 primarily in the micro Transit space and since then we've just delivered more shared rides in Uber and Lyft combined um and throughout our existence we've added on different services that are really built to complement one another like building blocks and creating fully Integrated Solutions um so we say that we're a software company our Solutions are easily managed and data driven just so you know how to better integrate and create better Services altogether um so you can see that we're really here to provide everything under the sun with an efficient micro Transit service so our expertise is in all these different areas where we know right now vehicle sourcing and Driver acquisition and onboarding is very um you know high in demand but the supply is low and so we'll take that off your plate we have a whole team that does a service design and Community engagement component so we really make sure that we're serving the best area from a data perspective so we have software that really helps us allow us to really build that out and then also we run the entire operation side whether it's the dispatch customer service we're there walking with you hand in hand to really make sure that the service is operating effectively and lastly we have software uh with a configured Writer app web portal driver app that's completely custom branded to your city um so that users could really request a ride in a very easy way and lastly we have a ton of data and analytics that we provide to you and work with you on just to really showcase how the surface is working and where we could really maximize that um and then you can see those key stats on on the right but I want to be mindful time if you could go to the next slide um and then so we worked with um the city of Richmond so uh Richmond was actually the first uh CMO awardee to launch and so we really worked with them on alleviating um congestion issues and bridging first mile Last Mile Services and overall it's been an extremely effective service um we have three plug-in uh hybrid EVS that we're running with them and you can see the key stats on the left there that the the service has just been um absolutely phenomenal and just been growing more and more since so just highlighting here's you know where we can help you with the grant is through the whole application process we have a whole grants team that is really here to help set you up for success and we're very familiar with the reporting requirements to really help you create an effective service so looking forward to meeting you all in the breakout room thank you thanks Brian and next is Labyrinth smart Mobility thank you um my name is uh Mark Minden I'm an Executive Vice President of Business Development for labor smart Mobility I'd like to say thank you to all the organizations that that are working hard to put this CMO program together first off so thank you for your hard work these three four plus years to get this up and launched next slide so uh what what we do at LSN is we provide safe scalable sustainable and Equitable Mobility solutions that are married with technology and um we provide what we call a horizontal elevator to ease travel through zones and districts without the concern of ability to pay for the service but instead built into the infrastructure as an equitable amenity and I like to use this elevator analogy you know how important is an elevator to a building and have you ever paid for an elevator before so we're we're a free on-demand elevator that drives access to Community Resources whether that's employment entertainment public transit parking and Mobility healthy food health care or city services next slide how does it work so this on-demand Service as I mentioned is free within that zone and we'll pick anybody up where they're they are at and take them directly where they need to go and you can do that four ways you can use an on-demand app click a button it'll pick you up right from there take you right where you need to go a phone dispatch but in order to make it a real Equitable service we've created uh Street hell so you can get it like the cabs used to be and then also designated pre-designated stops that the shuttle will actually pick you up from that stop and then take you directly to the pharmacy or the grocery store and give you access to those resources right away um we have a complete TurnKey system that includes our vehicles drivers Insurance technology and management and with management we work closely with the client throughout the whole process to ensure that we optimize the service we're big on customer service and management we hire a locally hired Community ambassadors that we train and we know our drivers and so data is collected and shared on the needs of the community and we can customize the metrics on on which we collect that data and excited to be here and meet with all of you I in fact all of the people that are talking I'm thinking of so many Partnerships we can make within the partner Network which is great but first I have a little joke for you what do you say to a frog that needs a ride hop in that is my favorite subject line for our emails it always gets open you want to know why because people want to know how do you get around and with that here's Envoy next slide please Envoy is a turnkey Mobility amenity we are an exclusive car sharing solution for apartments hotels and workplaces we have our own app that we have created that runs the entire service it actually not only helps to access the cards but uh actually helps us keep track of it as well which is awesome we have a fully EV Fleet uh that includes road trip insurance um assistance it's a data platform and we also include car washing and maintenance within our whole system and we work with our partners to help them figure out this whole building electrification thing because yes with electric cars you need Chargers it's a hot button issue and we hope you figure that out as well let me tell you a little bit about who Envoy is next slide online's been operation for over six years they tell me I've been here two years and let me tell you this is the best freaking job I've ever had and here's why I help people get where they need to go if you guys remember how cool it was when you got your license I'm not going to ask you how old you were I was so excited I got in my car I didn't stop driving until I hit the ocean I drove from Philadelphia to La never looked back car is freedom guys we just we love it and we are in La I mean come on it's just a no-brainer we're actually Nationwide we're available across the country but here's the thing about private car share it's extremely expensive we know this so what we do is we alleviate that pressure of private car share ownership we make it feasible for anyone to have a car when they need it to be able to drive when they want to go where they want to go and you know what you don't have to share the ride because here's the thing I like my car bubble I know a lot of other people do too and in fact so many people have loved this service we have over 2 million email emails driven we are in over 200 communities uh 225 Community EVS have been deployed and thousands and thousands of bookings and like I said the great thing about our app that we created is we can track everything so we can provide full analytics to track how and when the cars are used within your community making it even better for you to figure out you know making sure it's helping the people that needed help in fact speaking of helping people we do have programs that have been rolled out to underserved communities like Rancho San Pedro and bradshare and we work with and can help you also identify Public Funding when you need it to get the service when you want it I think I'm a little over next slide please okay here's the big thing we can help buildings attract and retain residents and also again like I said help with underserved communities where it's more of a community aspect So within this what we do is we deploy the cars to the property they live on the property they are booked through the app and then when you are ready to come home you just drive it back to your property it's so convenient and not only that's because the Chargers are at the property they have to charge for free yes I said it people free charging included next slide please in fact people love this service so much next slide here we go happy girl in a car we have people say it all the time I love the convenience of having the car parked where I live it's almost like I own a car notice that almost like I own a car who was paying an astronomical car payment besides me raise your hand don't lie I know you're out there and you know what Envoy is like the best car sharing business uh car sharing in the business it's true uh I like I said best job I've ever had because I get to help other people get where they need to go and we want to help you guys too so let's talk about it thank you Stephanie all right next is qride hi I'm Ryan Larson I'm president of q-ride I am a 38-year Transit veteran I have Transit t-shirts older than most of you that's my joke uh Stephanie so a little bit about qride we are a uh 25-year Transit software company um doing a little bit of everything on demand microtransit uh Paratransit scheduling non-emergency transportation um family owned and finance which makes us a little bit different in this space and we're also a disadvantaged business Enterprise one of the things that Katie talked about was the fact that you need to do due diligence and just to share a little bit about due diligence related to how some firms are financed you want to make sure that you're drilling down into the financial statements of what folks are doing a lot of us in transit I'm a former Transit manager I knew nothing about venture capital or private Equity prior to joining the software world and when a VC firm says they want a 5x return what does that mean that means if a company is generated uh 50 million dollars in in Venture Capital funding they need to return 250 million dollars that's a really tough ask of a lot of different firms one of the things that I did in my due diligence I joined qrite as president in April of last year is I looked at all the things that they were doing we had ability to do automated scheduling we can do manual scheduling we can schedule two Uber Lyft taxis private providers all on the same mobile app we can do fun things like book a trip to a driver right on the fly from the tablets grant funding is something that we really specialize in we generated over three million dollars in Grants to our our end user customers last year and uh we experienced 70 growth in in 2022 so I will leave you with um my specialty in this process is not just being the the transit voice of reason in our in our company in our industry but also really am engaged in the customer service side of things and making sure that we deliver on the promises that we we make to our end user customers so thank you for the time you can see my contact information at the bottom of my slide we look forward to talking to you more bye-bye thanks Ryan we have just a few more um providers here the next is pedal movement hello everyone uh my name is John Tully I'm the CEO of puddle movement and we can hop in uh so pedal Movement we Empower communities through sustainable Transportation uh we are primarily a active Transportation provider where we operate uh various Bike Share programs we help design Implement uh Mobility hubs to Workforce Development so anything that has to do with Mobility we are your company um we're your One-Stop shop uh with that being said uh we recently partnered with the Los Angeles clean tech incubator and the Housing Authority Council of Los Angeles to launch a CMO project last year at Rancho San Pedro and essentially the scope was to create an off-grid Mobility Hub with a private fleet of electric bicycles and cargo bikes that are exclusive to our residents there um so upon getting this contract and working with our partners uh this was in fact a very big task um even though it's kind of a smaller program um so from an admin perspective to how do we engage with this uh local community how do we provide marketing efforts that are in dual languages and representative of the people who frequent there um to what is the operational framework uh to make it so that this is an affordable option also all the way to the point of looking past the two or three year past program how do we keep sustaining this program so it just isn't dead in the water uh so these are a lot of questions I encourage you to ask your potential providers uh here at pedal movement this is one example of a project that we got off the ground uh next slide please um with that being said we do have vehicles that we can use in these programs cargo bikes electric bicycles um but our next slide our our bread and butter is that we have a pretty awesome operational framework um where it's not exploitative of our workers or the community um so we really are intentional about like how do we make this program long term and have the most amount of utilization so for example we hired exclusively hired a resident from Rancho San Pedro to work at that facility uh they had no prior bike experience but we ran them through our Workforce Development um and now they're there full time and benefits in the whole shebang so if you have any questions on CMO projects in general from insurance to uh just admin to whatever it might be happy to help do some technical advising or we can even help collab on getting a program launched and thank you for your time thank you John and next we have Interline hello everyone true Dara Abrams one of the principals with Interline here um I believe we have two slides great so thank you so uh Interline we're based in Alameda California in the San Francisco Bay area and we work with a wide range of uh Transit agencies and different governmental organizations here in California as well as a an assortment of other states our specialty is uh software and Data Solutions that are open and that they make make use of a majority of Open Source software uh data formats that are vendor neutral uh we make use of open street map which is a worldwide map of um road bike and pedestrian networks uh and and we also generate and consume apis or those data connections going back and forth with a range of different vendors web applications and mobile applications that we offer two solutions through the clean Mobility options provider directory one that's an analysis platform and one that's a multimodal trip planner targeted to Riders and travelers in the interests of time I'm just going to briefly talk about the latter the trip planner but innerline.io our website has some more information on the other Solutions next slide please uh so our Interline trip planner is a solution that we've we've operated for a range of different clients state of Vermont the Northwest Oregon Transit Alliance the City of Palo Alto here in California uh Tulare County in central uh the Central Valley San Joaquin Regional Transit District it's just a little sampling of the sizes and distributions of some previous and current clients I we customize this for each client although we're making use of the same open components for everyone so everyone can take advantage of the improvements that we make in between releases each deployment enables travel planning a trip by fixed route Transit with both scheduled data and real-time data uh cycling options and walking options and then depending upon what what options are available in your region and maybe other providers that you might be leveraging through the CMO program we're able to bring in flexible on demand service Bike Share and micro Mobility Service as well and surface these results for your Riders all in the same interface integrated into any other websites marketing materials you may be producing these options May are also going out through other services like Google Maps and so on but our trip planner is really meant to be a One-Stop shop for your Riders integrated into your experience and providing um a level of of control to build the type of program that each provider wants to build and offer to their end users my email address is here glad to answer more questions later on and uh will be available in a breakout room so thanks very much thank you drew and we have just one more um from drop Mobility hi everyone I'm Amber Wasson I lead Partnerships for job Mobility I'm also joined by my colleague Isabelle today I wanted to introduce her I have a conflict um starting now so I'm going to jump after I'm finished presenting and then Isabelle will be available for any questions or for the breakout sessions um drop Mobility is an end-to-end micro Mobility provider so what I mean by that we have in-house software developers extremely talented in-house Hardware uh uh Team we have Logistics in-house uh Decades of operational expertise in-house and we um create Bike Share systems across the country and specifically now we have a couple CMO projects um launching this year in California um and so you may not have heard of drop but you may have ridden our bikes before um we white label all of our systems so we believe in locally branded uh systems and so as an example we have Rialto uh e-bike share pictured here the blue bikes that'll be launching in another month or two in Rialto California that is a CMO um project where we handled um Soup To Nuts from planning through implementation and we'll also be operating for the next five years um that's a really good example of of a partnership um I think some others have mentioned collaboration that is really core to who we are as a brand we love to collaborate um with other operators or with cities or other non-profits and sort of fill in from our menu of expertise whatever the project needs so in Rialto we worked with Alta planning who did a lot of the sort of planning and community outreach to kick off and took them through the RFP process and then they selected us as a vendor and as I've mentioned we've we've done everything really from uh from there from site planning to working with the the city and Council to getting you know certain elements of the system designed and now the bikes are are here they're in a warehouse we've hired a local team and we're really excited to launch in the next couple months so that's just an example of one project um if you've been to New Orleans or uh Tulsa or Colorado Springs or many dozens of other cities they won't name them all you've ridden our bikes um and we are I should also mention I keep talking about electric bikes because that's sort of our bread and butter better and we really love e-bikes but of course we're vehicle agnostic so we're doing a bunch with um adaptive vehicles with uh you know scooters where appropriate um with pedal bikes are appropriate so if you have a project that wants to utilize any of this technology or we can help in any way um and for other operators if if you're looking to collaborate and we can help we'd love to connect so thank you guys so much all right well I think with that we'll head into the breakout rooms I don't connecting and networking with the providers that you're interested in um Katie and I will be staying in the main room if you have any general questions about CMO about it the experienced partner requirements about Mobility providers in general or if you need any technical support to get into the breakout rooms um so I guess with that we can open the breakout rooms and yeah feel free to I I wanted to stay in the main room um I'm with a provider called freebie and this is our first time attending this and I wish we knew about it earlier um we're not in the state yet but I wanted to ask all the right questions and um you know get the ball rolling and become a part of this this uh initiative yeah I know right now we're updating our Mobility provider directory and I think our we're kind of in the process of having adding up new providers but so that might be an opportunity to join that provider um I think there are some requirements for that but yeah let us know what questions you have um I you know I'm gonna dig in and and start learning but you know I had this opportunity to talk to you face to face so I thought I'd start I saw that you know we have to be in the state and on a good standing so we're not yet but I know that process is real quick do you have a deadline to for this new round uh to become a provider um I don't think there's any deadline for folks that are applying like for the grant or for the funding program um I think it's recommended that they start trying to figure out who their provider or who their operator is um but they have until I think later in like May or June to really figure that out and then from even when they have their voucher um executed I think they have an additional three months if they really have not found a provider yet um yeah they're looking now yeah so it's kind of around this time though that we do recommend I can projects start looking and trying to figure out okay who they want to work with we'll definitely get in there um is there an opportunity to present in the future for more um events like this yeah I think there could definitely be I think because we have our funding window kind of opening in March this is kind of meant to prep and prepare for that um but I think if there's future Windows of funding and we have additional I think folks interested as we do have I think a lot of needs assessment who will eventually be doing mobility projects I think that will likely be additional opportunities to do this is there a way to do it in reverse um so we could see who is looking for providers and try and match with those whose communities that are model best um potentially I think that might be a little bit hard to answer since we even us ourselves we don't know for those who are planning to apply if they already have a partner in mind or if they're you know still trying to figure it out but we just provide this kind of webinar as a resource for those foreign well thank you I I'll dig in and if
