How to Create a 6-Figure Business From Home | Successfully Use Affiliate Marketing to Boost Sales

hello hello everyone thank you so much for joining to our webinar uh thank you so much i think uh marta is gonna be here in a minute but i think we can start now uh so yeah thank you so much i'll be presenting my screen in a second okay so welcome to this webinar about how to create a six big figure business from home um i want to introduce you guys to tyler tyler is part of the wishbone team he is an account executive at wishbone with more than five years experience a digital marketing expert and technology enthusiast and business strategy as well as marta who will be joining later marta is cosmopolitan shape and hopefully to impose among other places so with uh everything said i think i'm gonna be uh leaving uh the room for tyler to start so welcome tyler perfect thanks for the uh for the intro there mariana thank you to everyone who's joined today i'm really excited to speak to all of you uh about you know some different marketing strategies and again how to grow that business from home so uh to give you a bit of an introduction into wishfont for those that don't know uh we've been around for over a decade now in the digital marketing space helping companies uh really get the right foundation established and to really provide the strategies that they need to grow so my goal today is to give you some ideas that you can take back to market your own business whether you're in affiliate marketing uh drop shipping selling a product you name it i just want to provide some value and insights into some things that you can be doing when it comes to marketing so without further ado i will share my screen with you and we'll get started sorry everybody let me get this up perfect so hello there i am again so what i want to talk to you about is how do you make a successful marketing campaign so going over the different tactics and strategies of that so the first thing i want to talk about is your website so obviously the website's very important that's where people are going to come back and think of it as kind of your virtual storefront and if you think of a storefront it needs to be clean you need to be able to move around and find the products you want and the website is really no different so if we come over to here i wanted to show you an example of the wishpond website so some things to focus on with your website making sure that it is very clean easy to navigate that you're promoting the things that are important to you and your business so if you look at the page here in front of you as i scroll through right away we start with a very clear-cut call to action and as you navigate through this homepage we're promoting some of the companies that we've worked with to build trust explaining a little bit more of our solutions but again those high call to actions and again just a little bit more what we do but a lot of value built really clean really easy to use so definitely something to consider if you're looking at your own website the next thing you need to do is get relevant traffic to this website so there's a few different ways to do that but the really important thing to do here is to really understand your audience to know where they're coming from how they're finding you where they're located all those different types of things so that you can build the most effective effective marketing strategy possible here so the two ways we're going to dive into today is both the organic traffic that you can get as well as paid ads traffic seo is one great way to get organic traffic it's high quality it is people that are searching through google to find exactly what you're doing so we want to make sure that we are coming up near the top of the page on google so that people can get to that website easier and start making you money so a quick example shown on the screen here is if for example if you google best golf clubs so as you can see here a couple of the products right a couple of the websites right there that are going to display uh our websites directly related to that search term so it's going to be super super simple for somebody to click on that link and get to your website now a couple factors and stats that go into seo into why this is so important is that there's 360 billion google searches done every single year so you know the traffic is there you know that it's there and you can you know start to get some of that traffic onto your website now if you ever look on a page i want you to think how often do you go when you're searching for something how often are you going and searching into the second the third page of google probably not very often right and it's in the studies show so the top five organic results that come up on a google search page account for nearly 70 percent of the of the traffic as to where they're clicking and where they're going so it just shows the importance of making sure that you're on the top of that page so that people have it easy to find you and again when they land on that nice clean website it's going to be super easy and simple for them to make a purchase and it actually turns less than one percent of people will actually visit that second page on searches so it's just again displaying the importance of being up near the top of that page so some things to do for seo i mean quality organic content coming to your website but the most important thing is that we're constantly optimizing it for the search term keywords that your clients are going to be looking for so for example on the screen if you sell golf clubs best golf clubs if you're looking that up you want to rank for something like that so that your website is going to display when that's searched for so that's a great way to get organic traffic for people that are searching for exactly what you're doing paid ads is another great way to get people to your site and it's kind of the other side of what i was just talking about so paid traffic obviously we're we're using different ad platforms to get in front of your audience and to display the relevant content that you want to display to get people back to your website so you're going to go into two different types of paid ads there is more the paid search and the paid through facebook types or paid through social media type style so again when i mentioned identifying your audience knowing where they're coming from if your most of your audience lives on facebook for example that's a really great place to go and target those advertisements so getting people to click on those ads and then getting them through into your marketing funnel that you're gonna have built out so we like to focus on two kind of different types of strategies when here at wish fund when using those platforms so we do a lot more lead generations type advertising through social media so through the facebook instagram google linkedin different platforms like that where people aren't necessarily in as much of a purchase mindset we want to do a lot of lead generation capture as opposed to google where it's a lot more direct and if you saw on the previous page there that ad up top that's a lot more of a purchase focused ad designed to get people into your website and buying right away some of the best ways to convert that traffic are through what we call lead magnets through through sites like social media and i'm going to show you a couple examples of those through some landing pages we've built here at wishpond actually before i get too ahead of myself here i'll show you a quick example of what an advertisement like that can look like so for example if this is done through social media we're providing value this is obviously set up to generate more of a lead generation type of approach we're getting people to click in getting people to enter their information on a page just like this one where you enter your name email and somebody's interested in what you're doing entering now getting that information into your database and then what you can do through these types of lead magnets and landing pages is promote your social promote products to purchase right away and get them back through to your website a couple other examples of lead magnets so some of the ones that we like to use are contests for more of a b2b to pro b2b approach for example for this for this bank we did you know how much would you like to borrow and then taking people through a bit of a questionnaire to get the right data that we need this is an example of an event so for example if doing a webinar just like this one that's a great example of a lead magnet so getting people's information upon registry more of a bit of a sales focus one but providing a discount giving people a reason to purchase is a great example in this case we were giving away two free chapters of a book so again there's that value added and then in this case we did a black friday super sale for this client here so getting people's name email information and giving them exclusive discounts and offers so really what it comes down to with the lead magnets is an exchange of information with value added on the other side so you have to have an offer strong enough that people are going to want to enter their information if they're interested in what you're doing hope that makes sense there the other type of paid ads i wanted to talk about are native ads and this is very popular for people in the affiliate marketing space which martha's going to be touching on next here uh so what that looks like is basically as you see here things like on the bottom of an article it's a lot cheaper source of traffic if you don't want to put the ad spend in to places like facebook instagram and google uh basically uh it's interesting behavior based so websites like rev content and taboola will allow you to choose where you're displaying your ads based on industry people's location and other factors like that relevant to your business basically disguising it within content pieces so that somebody who's reading for example a similar article sees your ad on that page can click through that and either go into a traditional landing page like the ones i just showed you or right back to your website so definitely lots of good ways to generate good high quality traffic through these types of sources so how do you build up an email list i kind of just touched on it there a great way to do that is through those lead magnets where we're collecting the data we're collecting the information from people who are in your target base who are in your audience now email marketing is something that's still so so so important in today's world so if you think about it from this way for using these different lead magnets getting people back in to your database now you have somebody who's familiar with your brand who may not have been ready to make that purchase yet so we can really go in and market to those people who we have warm leads for i wanted to touch on a couple other things before we jump into the email marketing piece though so pop-ups pop-ups are another great way to get traffic so when you have that traffic already into your website you have people that are on your page most people aren't going to be ready to purchase that first time so and sorry i skipped ahead a little bit i do want to touch on this before we go into the email marketing piece so one great way to do that when people aren't ready to make a purchase is with pop-ups so with a pop-up 97 of people who leave a website never return pretty staggering number so we want to do what we can to make sure we're taking advantage of the people that we're already getting to your page and providing more value from there so i want to jump over and show you another quick example of what that will look like here so if i'm on this page for example it's just this is just more of a mock style page i'm just going to refresh it to make sure it's going to work properly let me scroll through come back now as i go to leave this website here's what you're gonna see there's that pop-up that comes across so right there we're providing value for example this is for a gym getting you two free sessions if you sign up right now there's the value added now somebody who may go to leave your website never return now we're providing more value getting them to sign up getting them to enter their information in to take advantage of an offer like this the next way to really capture that website traffic is with remarketing ads um so some facts about remarketing ads here is a great way to kind of follow people around the internet so once somebody's left your website i'm sure we've all seen it if you go back to facebook let's say the next day and oh that's weird i was on this website yesterday here's that ad well that's because that company is doing remarketing campaigns a remarketing campaign is designed again to put you know relevant content obviously that's a bit of a warmer introduction since they've already been to your page but to solve that problem of getting people back to your website after they've left it for the first time we want to make sure again we are getting them back there and continuing down that purchase process with you so some facts about retargeting there it actually helps reduce i'm sure most of you have seen card abandonment is a problem when somebody comes back to your website has their information in the shopping cart and never end up making that purchase so retargeting campaigns can help increase the likelihood of that purchase by up to seven percent so very crucial to get those people back in to do that and combining retargeting ads and remarketing ads with other styles of advertising can increase your purchase chance by up to 50 so definitely a very strong powerful powerful tool to include in your marketing strategy so now i'm going to jump into more of the email marketing side when it comes to email marketing these are people who have given you their information have filled that information in your shopping cart and now you're starting to build a database of people who may or may not have purchased yet but know who you are may not be ready to make that purchase may want to purchase again and here's where we really really need to bring the value for people so one of the most important things to do is segmenting your email list so in terms of segmenting your email list we want to build that list out into different categories so let's say it's people who've purchased before people based on a specific location people who haven't made a purchase yet for examples because what we can do for them is now send relevant content to them in order to build value and get them back to make a purchase with you so in doing that this is one of the most cost effective ways to produce sales for your business right so i'm assuming some of you here own smaller businesses and budgets are always tight i understand i talk to small businesses all day long who you know really want to take that next step in marketing and really want to take that next step with their business but are lost for ways to do it well building an email list and building up purchases through that is a great way to do it now i want to dispel the age-old myth that email marketing is dying off because 78 of marketers have said that they've seen an increase in their email marketing engagement over the past year and open rates are coming in right now at an average of about 20 percent so people are still checking their email it's still a great tool and a great way to get people back to make a purchase i also want to revert back to what i was talking about earlier getting people cold who may not be ready to buy from you yet on average it's gonna take about seven high quality touch points with somebody in order to build enough value to get them back to your website to buy from you so if you're focusing on your email marketing uh building those touch points building value for people you're gonna start seeing a lot more and more people over time coming back to your website and making those purchases now some great examples of some email marketing things you can do of course you have your company newsletters which i'll get to on the next slide you can do more of a discount type offerings through your email so right here in the bottom right on the slide you see like the thank you for entering ready for your next vacation save 25 off your next stay with this promo code below that's enticing somebody giving them back getting them back to your website say you don't want to focus so much on the discount side of things well you can use your email campaigns to to build the value of your business to tell your story to get people bought into who you are as a company and really get them to build more of a following that way for you so again everything you're doing is just building value uh building trust with that client in order to get them back to your business so going into the newsletter things in here we actually have a lot of great tools within the wishpond platform to help you with newsletters so being able to send them the custom audiences all the design templates you'd need to really give you a great start on getting those company newsletters out and again those are just things that are going to keep increasing value and building trust with your database that you've been able to collect at that point so there's just a quick example of the affiliate marketing newsletter to look at there so just something that you could do yourself and lastly i mean wishpond can help you with this so this is these are a lot of the your notebook right now it's time to go grab your notebook so i'm going to give you five seconds because if you're anything like me you've got one close to you so just grab it grab a pen because you're going to need that what we're going into today is how to become a professional affiliate how crazy does that sound like if we were to look back on i don't know like 2015-ish you know a window around 2015 that's where affiliate marketing really started emerging and so we're moving into the heyday right now and if you know how to do it well you can crush so let me tell you super quick about who i am and why you give a rip what i'm talking about um not only am i sort of loud and in your face a little bit i love you so much i'm just giving you like some good info and it's the way i talk so uh if you need to turn your volume down feel free you're not going to hurt my feelings so uh my name is martha creche that's how you pronounce all of those consonants together in one word i have been a business strategist for a really long time i work with businesses from fortune 100 businesses all the way down to families my heart and soul bleeds for families these days we live in a world where we really need to put families back together again and so i i am mainly focused on showing families how to create multiple income streams from home utilizing things that they already know and that they can already do okay so affiliate marketing definitely plays into one of those income streams and that's why we're going to talk about it today okay and but again i've been doing this for a very long time i make seven figures a month a quarter of my income comes from affiliate marketing so you can break down the math there and probably be like okay let's let's talk about affiliate marketing so really you guys affiliate marketing is so easy you don't have to create anything you don't have to make a product you don't have to build a course you don't have to write a book you don't have to do anything right because what we're doing you guys is we're helping other businesses be able to sell their products but then you immediately are probably thinking let's call out an elephant in the middle of the room you're probably thinking oh my gosh i have to be a salesperson and everybody immediately thinks i have to be a slimy skeezy car sales person right and you don't need to do that either and what i'm gonna show you how to be able to do what to be able to do is create an affiliate marketing business without being slimy skeezy and weird if that sounds fair okay i think most people don't get into sales because they're like i don't want to be like that i don't want to be walking down the hallway and have somebody avoid my gaze because i may just look at them and try to sell them something like that's what's going on in their mind right so we're gonna avoid ever being like that right some fear okay hopefully you have your notebook by now if you don't i don't know what to tell you so uh becoming a professional affiliate very first thing that we need to understand as we're moving into being a professional affiliate which in my terms being a professional affiliate is doing affiliate marketing in a way that you really don't need anything else if you're okay with the income that you're getting from affiliate marketing you don't need anything else you know it just it all depends on what you're okay with right so the first question that we need to answer is who are you serving okay because you can't just start an affiliate business and not know who you're talking to because even in affiliate marketing you need to have a very direct and a clear way to communicate with people so they know that you're talking to them right and so you need to choose who your people are now i'm going to give you a hack on how to be able to do that super quick the hack on how to be able to do that is on your little paper make a line and on that line you're going to make little hash marks of the times that you've experienced challenge in your life so challenge that you have made it to the other side of right so i imagine you made it to the other side of every challenge so far in your life because you are still here and you are still thriving right so what challenges did you come up against and then uh and put them as hash marks in your own personal timeline okay now what you would do at the end of that you can do it later if you want to and what you do at the end of that is you look at all of those challenges and you think to yourself who is the who is the version of myself that i really want to serve who is the person that i used to be that i really that it just fills me up to be able to serve that person i could help support that person all day every day now are you gonna have to no what i'm teaching you is you know you really only need to spend five to ten hours a week doing it in all honesty but who is your person that you want to support forever and ever amen who is that person who is that version of yourself so i've had many challenges in my life but the biggest challenge the person that i serve these days is the version of myself that was sitting in corporate america in a carpeted cubicle that smelled like the 60s we know we we've all been in that cubicle right or at least you've seen the cubicle you know of the cubicle i had my little quotes up around me my picture of my family and all of that it was me sitting in corporate america and i got a video of my daughter literally taking her first steps and so in all of the excitement and the like you see her face and she's like yes i'm doing it right but then also like but am i doing it right and am i supposed to be up here you know like because she was a baby and then all of a sudden she's walking and there's probably all these things going through her head i'm seeing a video of it and as i'm watching it i'm seeing her face glow my face mirrors hers i start glowing and in the next second everything crashed down on me because i realized that her experience was walking to a phone i was seeing her but she was not walking to me and essentially i was missing it and then i quit my job and the rest is history that's i got into all of these things that i'm doing right now and like i said the rest is history but so that hash it just looks like a little hash on a timeline but that hash mark represents that experience in my life and those are the people that i'm here to serve and so that's why that's your hack okay so to to determine who you're going to serve that's it so that's the very first thing that you need to know do not pass go do not collect 200 whatever it is in monopoly until you know who the heck you're serving you cannot move on don't move on you're wasting your time you're gonna have to go back to the beginning later okay number two what do you want to help them do okay so for me and my person i want to help them get out of the flippin carpeted cubicle i want to help them get home spend time with their family i want to help them bring their husband home from work i want to help them put their family back together again i want to help them have so much financial freedom that they have this new word called opportunities and options and choices that they can make in life instead of having to do things because they have to do them because that's what pays their bills because that's it's just it's it's a tether that they have right so that's what i want to help them do so for you what do you want to help your person do and so i have students that help people uh go gluten-free like take their family into an entire gluten-free experience like they find out that one of their kid has allergies they spent hours into the evening searching on the googles all of the things and you don't realize that that makes you an expert in that because you've done all of the research you have lived it you know so you can now help somebody else that's going through all of that you can help them make it easier on themselves okay so what you need to think of is who your person is and how do you want to help them are we clear on that so far i just want to see are there any ques okay we've got q and a's all right and if you have questions make sure that you ask them okay because at the end we're going to have a few minutes to be able to go over this but this is like very this is business 101 okay like if there were an entire college class of business 101 this would be it so this but it's also the beginning of affiliate marketing because affiliate marketing is not just scattering around the interwebs your links to buy crud right that is not good affiliate marketing i'm just understand that okay so number three what you're going to want to do you guys is build a community this is my fun like i love slash geek out slash want to put my nerdy glasses on right now like that's where i'm at whenever we talk about building a community love love love love love it first of all what our what our world today when we look out into our culture and into our world what is lacking is community okay number two what it's starving for is community what people need is a common ground what people need is to feel supported by some other people they need community okay so imagine little versions of you okay so for me i imagine a bunch of little carpeted cubicles you know with little moms in them and that's that's like my community that's my group it turns into families and then it gets bigger but that is my group that is my community and then i serve them by showing them how to have wins and how to get out of their situation and now let me explain how the affiliate stuff plays into that so the way the affiliate stuff plays into that is i have my people i'm already showing them how i got out of x y and z affiliate to nail it is an oh by the way it's like a uh here let me show you how to do this really cool thing oh by the way this is what i use you could totally use it if you want to here's the discount code in order to grab it just like that easy easy peasy it doesn't have to be all grandiose you don't have to lead with hey buy this thing that is not gonna get anybody to buy anything um that is going to get people to be like oh my word please no i'm not following that person anymore you might even get blocked okay because people what we have to remember is uncertain you remember why people are where they are okay so if they're on facebook they're there because they're catching up or they're bored or they feel like scrolling or they want to see what somebody that they went to high school with is doing or what they had for dinner you know like it's very kind of voyeuristic actually so like that's that's what facebook is instagram's like i want to see some photos i want to see what's going on neither of those channels do people go to and they're like i'm looking to buy something i wonder who's selling something let me go buy that thing that's not why they're there and so whenever we're sharing in those places what we have to do is we have to cater to what they're there for you know like we need to cater to the fact that they're they're just hanging out cool well share some like on your social media this is a bit of a i'm taking a side road here but on your social media share stuff that you're doing you need filler content right let them know what's going on in your family let them know this silly joke you just thought of earlier today right or this this uh realization a light bulb moment that you had share that stuff it's what connects you with people but that's all top of funnel okay top of funnel is social media top of funnel is youtube top of funnel is your it can be your website so if we look at blogs and things like that those are all top of funnel that is where we get people's attention okay whenever we bring them down to the second level of the final funnel that's where we're they're starting to raise their hand and say i'm interested in what you're talking about not on buying your stuff okay don't get it twisted i'm interested in what you're talking about the idea the topics i'm interested in that and then they come down to the second level of the funnel well what does that actually look like whenever we're looking at the technicalities of it right that's your lead magnet that is your joining your lead group if you have a lead group set up if you don't what are you waiting for okay uh if you don't and and i have lots of stuff on lead groups just so you know you could just search youtube for that um uh so lead magnets lead groups do i mean obviously lead magnet is going to get them onto your email list there's other things like texting getting onto a text list you guys i'm not sure if you remember and this is going to kind of date it so i no longer ever agree because i'm going to kind of date this a little bit uh a couple weeks ago if not last week i can't remember when it was facebook was down for six hours and people were like oh my gosh you know i had people messaging me like what's going on you know is all my stuff gonna come back and i'm like guys just just right chill it's fine it's it's probably going to come back up but if it doesn't come back up you've got x y and z because you're like doing stuff the way i teach so you've got everything set up and so when you have people on email list when you have people on text when you have communication like ways to talk to your people in other ways other than just the social media then you're good it doesn't matter it doesn't matter what happens so we use social media as a hook we use social media to bring people into our world which would be our website lead magnets things like that does that make sense you guys i hope that that makes sense now coming back to the affiliate marketing piece how are you going to be able to share a lot of affiliate marketing because you're probably thinking oh my gosh i have to share so many links how on earth do you make so much on affiliate marketing like do you share it all the time all the time all the time no because people would stop following i would stop following me if i if i saw myself sharing something over and over and over again what you do is affiliate marketing is a long game so there are short wins with it but it's also a long game so what i mean by that is you make blog posts you make youtube videos in the in the strategy that i talk about you mix youtube videos with your blog post and you pop people back and forth so they know where your hub is which should be your website right and so they are they're able to click on them on these affiliate links wherever they see them but they exist there forever and if you're utilizing correct keywords so we were talking earlier about um about seo seo is my jam love it if you don't know what seo stands for search engine optimization he went into it earlier uh he was talking about you know not going into the third page of google and whatever there's a an in-industry joke here's your joke for the day all right here's the joke where do you hide a dead body second page of google that's because nobody ever goes to the second page of google so you've got you i mean if you're gonna hide a dead body on the internet i suppose that's where you would do it so seo is fantastic because whenever people are searching for something you guys they're going to use these different keywords and whenever they're using those keywords and they bring up a blog post that maybe you wrote three years ago right or you write it today and they see it in three years well it's got an uh an affiliate attachment to it an affiliate link attachment to it they buy it three years from now you're getting residual passive income i'm getting income from things that i wrote five years ago all right like that's the kind of that's what affiliate marketing really can do for you but the important thing here is you guys i just check my time here the important thing here is that we know and that we truly understand that with affiliate marketing you still treat it like a business in that you need to know who you're talking to how you're going to serve that person and then you bring in affiliate products that make sense with what you're already talking about don't go all like out you know out of out into the ether with it right we don't need to get all weird and say like you know and now i'm going to suggest whatever dryer sheets i don't know see like i don't even do my own laundry so i would look really silly talking about downy dryer sheets also we don't use dryer sheets that's a whole nother thing those are toxic just so you guys know but the i wouldn't suggest that and it would look weird for me to suggest it it's not even in alignment with what i do and how i help my people so that's what we need to keep it all within the same universe right like if we're thinking of marvel or something you keep it in the same universe your affiliate stuff needs to be in the same universe i'm going to give you a quick hack on being able to find affiliates okay search for well think of things that you use on a daily basis and then put that name the brand into google and then after it just type out um affiliate program see what kind of affiliate programs they have if they don't have a unique affiliate program if you can buy it on amazon you can just become an amazon partner that's an affiliate program okay that's that so there's your hack right there um but yeah that is that that is what i have i can go ahead and answer questions you guys so marianna tyler whoever wants to take the ball here also we have the professional affiliate program i don't know when you wanted to talk about that but i can talk about that whenever you want yeah thank you so much yeah we do have some questions here uh first of all uh here is one question i assume the remarketing is not possible if you have a restricted facebook ads account so that's one question from the audience perfect yeah so i think your first step there is to go into the facebook support and do your best to get their account that account unbanned and my recommendation for that is you know they're going to give you kind of a grace period to make sure that you're going to be able to follow their their ad policies so really make sure that you're looking at their ad policies let's be real it is really easy to get banned on facebook these days so just making sure that you're following their policies as best as possible should hopefully avoid that in the future okay i think this uh question is for you martha what if uh what if your business is a part of who serve but it is not really what you can teach not really sure what i what i am teaching yet i think is it yeah so your business is a part of who you serve let me just back up really quick i don't even use facebook ads i'm just gonna that's it that doesn't have to happen um but i but it ain't it ain't bad for some folks but it doesn't it doesn't have to happen so there's that um but what if your business is a part of who you serve but not really what you can teach so i'm really quizzical if that's a word about how you have a business where you couldn't teach something so a lot of people don't they don't see the forest for the trees so let me just give you this and then i would love your feedback if you can also just share that there are chiropractors you know that they're like oh i can't create a course i can't teach something okay there's listen if your niche your universe we think of the universe around our business right your universe is health and wellness and so they're coming to you because of essentially it's alternative wellness right because you can go to a chiropractor for uh for allergies and stuff like that and they can get you lined up so your allergies aren't as bad from my understanding so there's a lot of things around that that are health and wellness related so you can even have you know trainings and teaching people about just alternative or holistic health and wellness as a chiropractor now as a dentist so i guess i'm curious lisa what is your business let me ask that so i'm not just kind of like talking about all sorts of stuff although that's probably helpful for people that are chiropractors so we'll let you respond anything you wanted to add to that tyler i guess we don't have enough data yeah once once we find out what lisa does for sure maybe you have something to add there yeah yeah and people ask your questions seriously there's i know that this is being broadcast like all over the interwebs essentially right now so you may be commenting and asking questions somewhere else so forgive us for not seeing that because we're actually in the webinar itself so if you didn't register then we're not able to see that but uh yeah but we actually got that one question from youtube uh uh priya is asking what are the pre requisites i think for creating an available affiliate website so a viable affiliate website what's what are the prerequisites for creating a viable one all right i assume she's asking one that can be approved to be a a website uh that you know because affiliates will say well what is your website domain name really all that they're looking for the funniest thing here is affiliates are typically looking to make sure that they're not bringing in spammers and scammers so whenever they're asking you a bunch of questions about your stuff here's here's what most people will feel like they'll be like oh well i don't know because they'll be like how much traffic do you get and and they're really asking a lot of questions and it makes people feel less than especially people that are starting out understand be honest a be honest in all ways always be honest but understand that they're only trying to segment out the people that they don't want to be affiliates of theirs because they're going to damage the brand that's all that they're doing is they're making sure that nobody comes in that's going to misrepresent their product in order to get a sale and so they're what they want what they're looking for is truth and honesty from you and all like really that's what they're looking for from you so any website would be viable uh what what i suggest is a personal branded website like if if you're doing this like to be a professional affiliate you don't have another business going or you want it you know if you have another business going then the affiliate side of it really is more like an oh by the way it's you know as you type something out it's just popping in an affiliate link there it's not not an affiliate website it's your website and you just kind of pop in hypertext for the affiliate links another thing that i'm just going to side track on because i know we're waiting for answers here um is be careful with the how do i say this so gently um the banner ads and the that all the how many people have gone to uh to a cooking website because you wanted to use a recipe and the site took five minutes to load and then whenever it loaded you realize why and it's because everything's flashing at you and all you see are all these ads everywhere and then finally you see the recipe all the way at the very bottom that is a very distasteful experience for an end user and i have stopped going to certain recipe sites just because of that recipes were great but i'm not going to go to those sites anymore because it's a really terrible experience and what we have to be always thinking about first is our clients or our customers experience over the dollars okay so hypertext really works well for affiliate i only do hypertext you will not find banner ads you will not find any of that stuff in anything of mine because it screams i'm here for the money whereas oh by the way here's the thing that i use if you want to use it too here's your discount code for it it's so much more like comfortable so that's like i just wanted to make sure that was clear as well did we get oh lisa's back yep we've got the answer in the chat here oh hair extensions girl yes so hair extensions wig for luxury clients as well as medical hair loss clients there it is that's medical hair loss clients that's i would speak a lot on that for your um you can help people in that space so uh there's many i mean now there's this the i guess there's two c words but there's the more recent c word that uh i guess people are losing hair whenever they get that but um but what you can do is you can talk about these different conditions that people have and you can talk about supporting them right so like what is the stuff that's going to be able to help them maybe maintain their own hair and what is what's going to be able to be most comfortable for them as they're going through the thing that they're going through like that's a place that you can really serve from your heart and give somebody a fantastic experience and just help them out and help them feel seen and heard because that's a segment of the world remember when i said community is what people need that's a segment of the world that quite often doesn't feel seen or heard because sometimes people just don't want to look at it and they don't want to talk about it and and i'm not talking about just the hair loss i'm talking about the overall reason for their hair loss people are scared to go into that but if you're not scared to go into that which i don't believe that you are then you can treat it as a place of service and that's what's needed and so that that would be one place that i would go into just off the top of my head um okay um any comments about the business tyler her extensions maybe some strategies yeah absolutely so i think and i want to speak on what martha does as she was talking there it's very very clear that martha has done an amazing job in her career of finding what works for her audience finding where to put it and really producing that content building that following so i'd say that's my advice for you is to look at kind of the way martha's done it with her business and the the content ideas that she's given you really find what's working for your audience do some testing try stuff out really find where you're going to be able to make the most impact with that type of content that you're producing and then hit it hard so that would be my advice to you yeah yeah awesome i think uh there are no more questions here uh i just checked youtube and everything i mean all the questions has been answered so i think um i have to thank you guys so much
