hello I hope you are very well in this video I bring you the comparison side by side between the smart and vis 4k on the left the samsung Q80T in this case of 65 inches with VA panel and on the right the samsung Q80A of 55 inches in this case with ADS panel that as many of you already know behaves in a similar way to ips panels both televisions have Full-Array backlight technology also with Local Dimming the main difference in terms of the type of panel that each television has is that the Q80A, thanks to the fact that it has panel ads, shows colors that are a little more vivid or slightly more saturated, the Q80T is not that it does a bad job, in fact, it seems to me that it is very good, but side by side in most content with all the modes of In terms of colors, I like the work of the Q80A a little better , however the Q80T with some image configurations could achieve better results in this area. It should be noted that both televisions with each of their Image modes have the same settings in terms of color, brightness, contrast, etc. To make the comparison fairer , the Q80T is a 2020 model and the Q80A is supposed to be the improvement of that model because the main improvement that the Q80A obtained is from 2021. It is in terms of brightness

in sdr the Q80A reaches 653 nits while the Q80T 427 in hdr or high dynamic range nits the Q80A reaches 869 nits and the Q80A 719 nits and the high dynamic range with game mode the Q80A reaches 832 nits and the Q80T is lowered a little to 534 nits the contrast ratio of the Q80T is higher because it has a VA panel and therefore allows better uniformity of black colors less clouding blooming and light bleeding effect the native contrast of the Q80T is of 3042:1 and with the local dimming of 4225:1 for the Q80A the native contrast is 2568:1 and with the local dimming of 2672:1 in dark scenes I already mentioned that both have what is known as Full-Array with local dimming the Q80A Although it has an ADS panel, it does not have such a bad performance in dark scenes, in most cases, you do not notice so much clouding or blooming effect in some content, but in others, such as this one, sometimes you can notice especially the blooming effect when If you place the local dimming on high or in the middle, if you place the local on both televisions on low, you will notice more clouding effect , being more noticeable in the Q80A because it has an ADS panel, yes, you will notice less blooming effect, but I repeat, you will notice more clouding. the truth is that in both I recommend the local dimming in the middle, perhaps in some scenes in the Q80T it is worth placing it high but in the Q80A when placing the local dimming in high if the blooming effect begins to be more noticeable and in some scenes it can be a little annoying still I repeat it seems to me that the Q80A despite having an ADS panel does a very good job in most dark scenes and another difference between the two is that the parts that have a lot of darkness or shadows are a little clearer and it is easier to notice details in the Q80T thanks to its VA panel and in the Q80A the opposite happens, those areas tend to look darker and with more difficulty to notice details but it is not something exaggerated Even so, it seems to me that the details can be noticed very well in most cases, the uniformity of gray colors on both televisions seems to me to be very good, the results are almost the same, the dirty screen effect is very little noticeable on both televisions without However, the edges of the screens on both televisions are a little darker or shaded, it is not something terribly annoying, but it must be mentioned when normal content with more colors is observed, the dirty screen effect is practically imperceptible and the shaded edges do not seem to me They become somewhat annoying in terms of the gaming section, the input lag times for the Q80T in 4K at 60 hertz in both sdr and hdr is 9.8 milliseconds two and for the Q80A 9.6 milliseconds both have an hdmi and 2.1 port that allow you to display 120 hertz in 4K the input lag time in 4K at 120 hertz for the Q80T is 5.8 milliseconds and for the Q80A it is 5.3 milliseconds in some video games such as this Gear5 that slight opacity or clarity that is noticeable in the Q80T could be somewhat annoying for some people but something in favor because in very dark scenes it allows them to better visualize the details of some parts while in the Q80A those areas tend to look a little darker as I had mentioned before but not in an exaggerated way it seems to me that even so the details can be seen very well in the vast majority of scenes and in terms of colors what I can perceive is that with the red colors sometimes the Q80T shows them with a fuchsia tone without exaggeration but it can be noticed while in the Q80A probably because it has an ADS panel it shows redder colors more allusive to reality it is worth mentioning that the color technology of both televisions is QLED or quantum dots, both televisions, in addition to supporting 120 hertz in 4K, also support variable refresh rates, both GSync and FreeSync premium, the response time of the Q80T is a little better than 10.2 milliseconds which is surprising for being an older model while the response time of the Q80A is 11.3 milliseconds it is also good the truth is

that the handling of movement and fluidity in the gaming section of both televisions is very good with both TVs are going to have the ability to take full advantage of a very powerful PC graphics card from the Play Station 5 console or the Xbox Series X in terms of high dynamic range technologies, both support the same thing that is hdr10 hlg or hybrid log gamma and also hdr10+ none of them support neither dolby vision nor dolby vision for gaming but Samsung is supposed to release hdr10+ for gaming this year but I don't know if these televisions receive this technology through some software update and well, before continuing, if you like the video, I invite you to please click the like button and also subscribe to my channel if you haven't already done so and that activate the notification bell so you can know instantly every time I upload a new video the movement management was very good on both televisions in the gaming section and of course it is also when viewing content through streaming applications in this case I am using YouTube as an example, the two televisions with each of their image modes have the parameter known as image clarity settings, in both you can find the free movement of the led, but I do not recommend activating that function because it generates a flicker effect and also darkens the image usually in automatic in both the best results are generated with a very fluid image when scaling of image on both televisions is very good the results are practically the same on both televisions with very low resolution content 480p or lower resolution on both of course pixelated parts will be noticed which is normal if the content has 720p resolution or HD in both pixelated parts will be less noticeable and can be tolerable in most cases and if the content has 1080p or full hd in both the image scaling work is great in fact the content seems to have a little more resolution but keep in mind that even so it will not be shown in 4k if the content has 1440p resolution if the image scaling work in both will make the results very similar to a native 4k and of course both can play content in native 4k both in sdr and hdr without problems just remember that in order to play high resolution content through streaming applications they must have yes or yes not very good internet download speed or else these applications will automatically reduce the resolution of the content in order to improve its fluidity the viewing angles of the Q80T are of course not very good despite the fact that it has a technology known as ultra viewing angle layer still they do not compare to the viewing angles of the Q80A the Q80A has better viewing angles thanks to its ADS panel while in the Q80T due to its VA panel the colors tend to look a bit more whitish when the screen is viewed from a very steep side or angle so here the Q80A wins for obvious reasons the handling of reflections is very good on both TVs but surprisingly it's a bit better on the Q80T maybe because it has the ultra viewing angle layer that helps it in this aspect in both is very good in the Q80A thanks to its ADS panel and greater amount of brightness both are very good televisions for rooms that receive a lot of lighting n environmental or artificial in terms of the smart section these are their remote controls or known as one remotes the design changes in both the big difference is that the Q80A has a button for the multi view function and also has a solar panel and can be also charge via usb type c port the operating system of both televisions is called Tizen and is typical of the Samsung brand the fluidity in both televisions of the operating system is practically the same I think it is very good it is very fluid when accessing all kinds of commands and when it comes to opening applications , their application stores are typical of this operating system, both seem to me to be very extensive, they have a great variety of non-popular applications and also many of the most popular ones, the storage space in the Q80T is 3.82 gigabytes and in the Q80A of 3.85 gigabytes in both cases it seems to me that it is more than enough for almost any user both support the function known as screen mirroring and also n the function known as multi view, the main difference is that the Q80A has a button to access this function both in the main menu and in its remote control on a screen on both televisions they can display the native YouTube application of the television or something connected some hdmi input and on the other screen your smartphone in the case of the Q80A also has the option of being able to connect a webcam in this case only some Logitech cameras are compatible these are your internet browsers which I take the opportunity to say that both TVs support the Bixby Voice voice assistant of this brand in some countries , they also support the Google assistant and also the Amazon Alexa here in Colombia and I would think that in other countries I don't know why they don't support neither the Google voice assistant nor the Amazon Alexa but if Bixby be Voice in terms of internet browsers in both you can play multimedia content through dist several web pages if required , the heating on the screen after almost two hours of non-stop use of course also with video games on both televisions is relatively high but without reaching abnormal values in any case in none of them they will feel a heat exaggerated when approaching their screens nor in the room where they are going to be used in terms of sound power in both is 60 watts in terms of technologies both support dolby atmos and also dolby digital but only when connecting a device compatible with these technologies to the hdmi port with support for improved audio return channel the performance in terms of sound on both televisions is very similar perhaps it is a little better on the Q80A but the difference is almost imperceptible at the end of this video not being able to judge the performance of the sound system of both televisions for yourselves and if you ask me which one you should buy if you can still get and I would say that the Q80T is a better option because it has a VA panel and better performance in dark scenes less clouding - blooming this would be the main reason why the Q80T would be a better option however if you are not going to watch as much content with dark scenes or If most of the time the content they are going to see is going to be seen with the lights in the room fully on, then the Q80A would be a better option and even when they get to see content in a dark room, it seems to me that the performance of the Q80A in this area it is very decent for everything else they are very similar it is true that the Q80A has more brightness but the Q80T also does a very good job in this area including of course with the content that has high dynamic range and to finish I would like to know you what do you think about both televisions in the comment box which one would you stay with and why if you liked this video I invite you to please like it to share it on networks that subscribe to my channel if you haven't yet, acquire a channel membership so that you can access extra benefits that way you would also support me and activate the notification bell so you can know instantly every time I upload a new video no being more I say goodbye see you in the next one and I invite you so that you can judge the understanding of the sound system of both televisions
